Interesting. I always thought that LSU did best when we had strong ends who could stop the run and pressure the QB so that the safeties did not have to worry about the run. But I am no coach and am interested in other opinions.
I get your point. In return, the NFL is steadly increasing into a passing league. If you can rush passers like brees and Brady causing them to turn over the ball along with being great aginst the run your value to a team skyrocket. Many pro teams only play three down linemen. Defensive ends that can play both the run and pass are highly prized.
According to the OP, this would be an NFL team and I always hear the most important positions are QB, LT, DE, CB because the NFL is a passing league. So based on that logic, I'm going with Mo.
Well, the traditional formula for the NFL is get strong up the middle. DT, MLB, and S... however, this is a good point. The league has changed.
Is this the 2012 Draft, and if so, are we limited to taking players who will actually be in the 2012 Draft? If so, and assuming no underclassmen come out early, so I'm limited to seniors. In that case, I'm taking Brandon Taylor. I think he shows the most promise of all seniors to be an impact NFL player. Add potential early draft entries to the list, I'm taking Mo Claiborne, same reason. Now, if you say I can take any Tiger on the roster, and I'm starting a team from scratch....I'd love to start with a QB, but I can probably find a better one than any Tiger available elsewhere later in the draft. My next priority is someone to protect that QB, and I'll take Chris Faulk.
For some reason, I thought Mo was bigger than 6'0, because he looks much bigger than Tyrann. The Honey Badger is listed at 5'9. One of these is obviously incorrect. Can I assume Mathiew is shorter than that?
