I think it's obvious who SHOULD start the game. I would like to know if there is still anyone who believes that Jordan Jefferson should be the starter?
I really don't think it matters who starts the game, what really matters is who gets the majority of the snaps. As long as JL gets over 70% of the snaps I think we will be ok. Anything less and we are gonna be in trouble.
i agree with that to an extent. but LSU is getting around 60 plays a game, which means Jefferson at 30% would be getting about 18 snaps. Thats too many. Give me Lee at about 95%. Jordan has turned into a gimmick quarterback, who should only be brought in to do the zone read, or quarterback draw, and maybe throw a pass once every 2 to 3 games.
... and that's the reason I worded the question like that. I didn't figure we needed a poll when almost everyone on the board agrees who should start. However, he is obviously free to vote as he chooses, and it is good that he explained his reasoning so it is clear what he is voting for. I'm sure most of us who voted for Lee are influenced to some extent by wishful thinking. If Miles does start Jefferson and he is largely responsible for costing us the game, I expect another backlash against Miles. Expect more mad hatter references, and more mockery by ESPN and others. This will raise the question of how he can continue to be a top recruiter when he has become an ESPN punch line. Hopefully he makes the right choice and this issue is minimized.
I won't disagree with that. Personally I think that every play he is in is one less opportunity to score.
You're still talking about 3 critical possession in which we're likely coming away with 0 points a decent potential to give Auburn points on a critical turnover. I don't even want to see that.
I still say I think Miles is setting up a poker hand. Auburn will set the defense by who is in the game. What I think will happen is who ever is in the game the play calling will be the reverse of what everybody expects. More runs with Lee more passes with JJ. The first team to score has the advantage and this game too may come down to the wire. I think he is trying to make Auburn prepare for both on the first series.:yelwink2:
