I say Boston wants to replace Schilling in the next year or so to complement Beckett as that 1-2 punch that can win more world championships over the next 7-10 years. I think they will give up Ellsbury in the deal.

Yankees are already saying they won't give up Chamberlain or Cano. I guess they plan on offering up Kyle Farnsworth and Melkey Cabrera. No thanks.

    What say you?

ESPN radio earlier today said Boston and Minn. has the framework of a deal in place already.

Coco, Lester, and a minor league SS named Lowery for Johan. If this deal goes through, it's an absolute steal for the Sox.

Giving up Ellsbury would not be a wise move IMO.

Wow, what a coup? Yankee Nation will be in a tailspin.

    I love it.

    Go Red Sox!

The Yankees should threaten to make less money, and thus have less money to share with the putrid small market wastes of time.

if the deal above is indeed true, then it's a bigger farce than the babe ruth trade.

especially when you can wait until the trade deadline and clean out someone's entire farm system.

but i am a red sox, so I like it.

I missed the begining of the segment, so I didn't catch who was talking about it, but it was on Cowherd's show. Says the Yanks refuse to give up Canoe, Melky, Chamberlain or Hughes. Which appears is the reason talks never got far.

If the Boston deal goes through, I kinda feel sorry for Lester. Dude fought through cancer, came back and pitched well in the postseason, got a ring, and "see ya later". But from the baseball side of it, it's an absolute no-brainer for the BoSox.

Boston now offering Ellsbury, like I thought they would.

Yanks offering up Hughes and Cabrera.

Advantage Boston. The Twins need to replace Torii Hunter.
