WR seems a position prime to have a breakout player, so I'll go w/Trey Quinn. Obviously, Malachi, or Travin could be as well, but I think Trey will be the surprise go-to guy by the 5-6th game. Here's an article on our top 3 freshmen (LF, MD, TQ) I came across. David Ching »
Is it too much of a given to go with the power at the corners or are we agreeing that they are already established? Tre White Rashard Robinson can't wait to see these guys in action.
I don't think so. They were good last year but I think the expectations for both could be a bit high. I don't think it would be out of line to pick either and expect/hope they are better than they were last year. I hope like hell that both become household names across America by the end of September.
Hester would be the closest in terms of skillset at FB that Sean Payton would want in recent years from the Tigers. LSU wants thumpers and Payton wants multiple threat and dynamic players. Neighbors skill level would work for the Saints.
As I am both a huge Saints & LSU fan I'd love for there to be several former Tigers on the Saints roster. However I am much more concerned with Loomis and Payton evaluating without any credence being given to where they went to college. The Saints have done an incredible job scouting & signing low round draft picks & free agents.
Cough Quinn Johnson, Cough this year Connor Neighbors. Which by the way, I cannot f'n wait to see Neighbors plowing through fools.
