Sanchez, QB for USC, has a BIG arm. With McKnight, they look good on offense, course I just saw the highlights.

I think USC will be #1.

UGA allowing GA Southern to score 21 points does not help.

Us beating #9 VT 48-7 didn't put us #1...but then again this is SC...

It was a shutout through almost 3 entire quarters. I doubt the coaches' poll hits UGA for playing it's backup defense in a rout.

If USC is #1, it's because of USC, not because UGA gave up 21 points.

Sic em! It should be a great game, probably the "name" marquis matchup in the regular season.

The SEC will have some good games too. LSU Auburn, Fla. Ga., LSU Ga., LSU Fla.

I saw some highlights of T. Pryor at QB, scored a TD on the ground. He looks like he'll be great.

Actually, it would be because the pollsters are idiots.

I would not put anything past the media when it comes to USC.

I'm sure that there are plenty of broadcasters who would like to see either USC or Ohio State ranked as #1 when they play each other.

Richt isn't into running up the score on a team that is not a true rival and is in his own recruiting back yard. The media could care less about the relationships Richt has with HS coaches in that part of Georgia, but Richt does.

The loss of Owens is more significant than losing Sturdevant, but Georgia still has plenty of weapons to outscore most opponents with. These losses will put Georgia in a more even mode with most of the other top SEC programs, but shouldn't be used as an excuse to drop Georgia in the polls.
