    I say Tyler Edwards will be #18 , he is Eric Edwards younger brother and he is being red shirted this year and he's a TE

    His little brother is supposed to be getting it....which is a mistake in my opinion. It shoud be given to a proven commodity. 5 years from now we won't even remember about this "tradition".

    If it helps his blocking skills improve any, I'm all for it.

    If it doesn't go to a deserving candidate the tradition will be meaningless. I can't think of anyone meeting the unofficial criteria right now who should have it. Damn sure not a true freshman who'll likely not get a sniff of the field next season. Maybe hang it up until a player deserving of the honor emerges?

    I think Ridley should get the nod. He looks to me to be the next work horse. And I refuse to believe the crap about the 18 jersey being racially tinged. If so they should burn it. Because it's beneath the program.
