I guess my idea of starting Ott was so out in left field that it didn't even raise eyebrows.:hihi: Aren't you all glad that my daily responsibilities have to do with cooking grits and making biscuits rather than actually deciding who's gonna start !!
This was my thought as well. Another thought is that, if needed as in the Bama game, he could come in for the last inning or 2 to shut it down, if Ott or whoever is in at closer is struggling. Wouldn't gas his arm, and he would still be available on 2 days rest against whoever in the final game.
For us to advance the other pitchers are going to have to step up. But winning that first game is very important to ease the pressure on the others. I'd play Ranaudo for the win and count on the rest of the pitchers to get it done.

I think PM is leaning towards Ross at the moment. NO decision has been made though but it is a tough one. Riding the wave of the leader with AR would be a big plus but a risk IMO. I say leave AR for the UCLA matchup or elimination game.
no. we need him for UCLA. really do. i think that we can handle UCI and Kent State with ross or bradshaw (assuming they stay hot,) but also assuming that UCLA plays the way they have been, you want your best on the mound for them. like okie alluded to, i hate to be the one to make this decision.
