To get kicked off you have to go way beyond the first or second strike. RP was always getting into some kind of trouble and TM had failed multiple drug tests. Sometime player behavior reaches a point that even the most lenient coach has no choice but to kick him off.

that is not in any way meant to boost Miles.
believe it or not, my opinion of O has absolutely nothing to do with Les Miles.

it is pointing out that what we see now follows O around.
    this is who O is.
    this is who we hired.

O’s teams are sloppy, undisciplined, and constantly look outclassed by their opponents.

right now, LSU looks like O’s previous team when was a HC. So i have a hard time blaming anyone other than the guy that currently has us looking just like his resumé says we would look.

the next time a team with Ed Orgeron as HC beats a team that finishes above .500 in SEC play will be the first time it ever happens.

Curley Fucking Hallman can’t even say he was that bad.

This is a fair statement...will you give him some credit, if he turns the ship from the disaster it is now to an upward trajectory?

Yea I was wondering where that comes from too. There are lots of examples of where Miles was pretty tough on guys who screwed up.

What proof do you have of that? I once met a former player of MIles' from Oklahoma State, and I asked him if Miles was "too easy" on his players. The guy laughed and said, "Are you kidding? He was the toughest coach I ever had at any level. He was a nice guy, in general, but a hard ass on the practice field."

it’s the only way to pass the buck onto someone not currently employed here.

Miles' teams were pretty undisciplined and the leniency given several players is well documented. But really, I'm trying to understand why so many left and figure either O ran them off or they didn't like the new rules. It's an odd turn of events. Maybe it's just an indication of how bad O sucks like you and many are convinced. It's comical that you and others gave Les so much rope and now O none.

When Miles was hired, I was not very excited about him. For most of his years here, though, I enjoyed having him as our coach. However, he had certainly lost his edge over time.

O should not have been hired. Period. We didn't look past two guys, Herman and Fisher. And I wonder how serious we even were about those two options. And then we hire Orgeron, who was sold as the "continuity" candidate. Now, as Tirk indicated, we're saying our team is in a rebuild. And we are...because so many guys have been shown the door.

Honest question here: When has Orgeron ever been known as a strict disciplinarian? Think back on some of the programs with which he's been involved (Miami, USC, Tennessee with Kiffin). None of those are paragons of rules and regulations.

Miles teams got LOTS of penalties. That's absolutely true. But they didn't go getting in fights during pre-game warm-ups, and he did kick off two of his best players in RP and the Honey Badger. The narrative is that Miles was soft, but past history would indicate that O is probably softer.

I was not happy with the Orgeron hire. I will freely admit that, and he's going to have to prove me wrong. I believe I described my feeling as "uneasy" when he was hired. I am still uneasy--as are many, and I'll not apologize for that. I've watched football closely my entire life, and some guys are not head coaching material. Orgeron has yet to prove he is.
