Fisher ain't crap playing in a weaker conference and having a rough start to 2017. That's a big risk IMO based on that one QB who was beating his chest on tables in the FSU union; Winston right?
That's why I brought it up, amigo. He lost his starting QB. According isn't weaker. It's better. And was last year. Yes the one who won the bcsncg.
That is kinda pushing logic, but I think there's something to it. It would be hard to rebound from a $7 million Fisher failure. Not as bad from a $3 million Eaux failure. If Eaux sucks for two years he might be gone; Fisher'd be given more time.
And then there's Matt Mauck who Fisher developed into a natty winner. And the other Matt. Jimbo was here getting him ready right up until his senior season. And besides Winston a couple of other FSU QB's have been first round picks. E.J. Manual for one.
The only possible fisher failure would mean finishing 2nd to saban like miles. But with a better offense and a much greater QB. His recruiting is stellar. Lsu would have hit a homerun if they landed him. What you pay a successful coach means nothing. What you lose as a program with a Hallman and possibly an Oeaux is immeasurable.
ACC is better? Nah. This is Fisher's program and they are winless in 2017. If we're impatient with a $3 million Eaux, how impatient would we be with a $7 million Fisher? There is no rebuilding at $7 million a year. Last year he was 10-3. Meh.
