Im not necessarily advocating for the up tempo. Just not a big fan of the “check with me” offense on every play and curious as to if it wears down our linemen’s legs quicker.

My buddy just suggested the slowed down offense was more about not confusing the young lineman. He also said the long squatting was not that much of an issue in that they are prepared and in shape for that.

yet our o lineman indicated they were out of shape for the UCLA game

maybe ida played a bigger role than I thought, but it sure didn’t seem to bother Tulane….

Well Tulane has a good team and I am really impressed with their QB. If the loss to UCLA was all coaching than it will show up tonight and I will be the first one to admit O may have lost the locker room. However keep in mind and consider just consider that O has 4 or 5 new coaches that need to get in sync with our players skills and in sync with the HC and the other position coaches in real games. They now have 2 games under their belt and I expect the team to play better at every position tonight. With Deculus and Hines back I expect better play on the O Line.

I am betting we will see just that tonight.

    / end thread

L4L just murdered every point. There's more elaboration that can be done such as O has been told repeatedly to act like the CEO of a Fortune 500 company when he's in public and we all know the stories from selfies cuddling with blondes to constant trips to Florida shirtless, to insulting the opponent and their fans masculinity, to challenging to fight an LSU booster at his camp on the bayou he mistakenly thought was antagonizing him, oh and the list is way longer.

Oh! Let's not forget he lost his team with the Trump comments and didn't know they were organizing a protest.. Gawd he's such a joke.

Look the only thing that matters is Les Miles was arrogant and stubborn and lied to us repeatedly about fixing his offense. His ego and doing it his way is all that mattered.

O has done the SAME EXACT THING because he lucked into the giant that is LSU by getting a generational talent at QB (it was good fortune pain and simple if it wasn't Joe never leaves Ohio State and certainly more than Cincy and us pursue him..) and E saw an offensive brilliance in Joe Brady. O wasn't even in the room that day. Then you get the young stud trio of receivers and a Stingley with Fulton sticking around for years.. I mean that's all homegrown talent wanting to be the best with incredible character. O promised he'd hire the best coordinators and get out of the way. Promised he'd always put his players first and stay humble in the background. Anyone think he's done ANY of that since 2019?!

He didn't even interview his coordinator hires by his own admission!! Can you imagine Saban every night? He's had to face Les and O in back to back tenures at LSU. Guy is blessed. He saw both win titles while he was around, too, and they're bumbling idiots and he's the greatest ever.

That is why Saban knew immediately he made a massive mistake leaving us to go to Miami. He was gonna eclipse the Bear.. he just was going to do it at LSU and create a whole new legacy. Credit to him, he overtook him in the Bear's own yard.

Belichick and Brady enjoyed the same dominance for decades in the AFC East. Miami, Buffalo and the Jets were all absolute jokes during their entire run outside a couple Jets years under Rex Ryan.

O much like Les has chosen his ego and pride over doing whatever it takes to win.

Saban just wants to win. You think he loves playing modern football throwing it everywhere and playing defense where you're gonna end up giving up 50 at some point probably every year? Nope. But he does it cause he loves winning most.

I like O for the local boy makes good story. However, everything that @Brian and @LSU_4_LIFE said is absolutely true.

How would anything tonight change any of what I've said? O has taken all the good will garnered from leading the best team in school and possibly the sport's history and is on the Verge of being fired less than two years later.

You gotta really try to fuck it up to do that, honestly. It's impressive in a sense.

I championed O and said give him a chance to prove he'd changed and learned and etc.

He seemed to, but that title went to his head. The divorce and everything subsequent.. have heard folks who know him well have said he's like a different guy since that title.

It happens to guys who win it big all the time. When you feel you've "won" you lost that seething hunger, but I promise you lots of other guys have that hunger still and can't wait to expose you to get their spotlight time.

Look at great fighters like Mike Tyson or Connor McGregor, etc etc.

Tonight won't change anything for O.. unless he loses then it just speeds up the end.

I trust you are watching Bama/Fla. If you are Bama you should be noticing thst Bama is taking more time than LSU did last weekend to snap the ball. O lineman are used to this squatting that you brought up. Our O line problems are more on maybe lack of talent and certainly injuries and youth.
