I'm just curious. Name me one thing you see positive in first two games. Please don't say place kicker
Hmmmm just cause ??? Our head coach turned a blind eye from date rapes? Do we really want to go cruising down Art Briles Avenue to save a few coin??
Defense, defense defense! I wouldn't trade our defense for anyones in the SEC except maybe Bama and would only trade up for 3 or 4 of theirs. On offense not that much, YET. Positives for us moving forward are Bech, Kiner and Nuss. If we get healthy on the O Line and Max settles down we will be good. I think you will see a lot of improvement tonight but we HAVE to stay healthy.
Us old farts in here have seen this movie all too many times. Two games in we have no clue who we are as a team. Usually a patsy shows up right on time (tonight the fighting Chippers) who because of the size of the stage, environment , humidity , Golden Girls , whatever it takes , makes that patsy play crappy and we have a pretty good night emerging from that game with reasonable faith our major concerns are relieved. Run game is a little better, defense a little better etc and we then set sail into conference play with ample confidence 9-3 is within grasp. The same could happen tonight. I don't like where we are or where we heading but after 8 quarters writing the HC eulogy prob not cool.
Ask your coach friend what his thoughts are on asking our offensive linemen to run up to the ball, squat down for 20+ seconds while we wait for a play call, then run the play and then repeat the process over again every play. Asking your big boys to repeatedly sit in a squatted position for 20+ seconds before every snap, over and over and over. How does that impact the fatigue in their legs? I’m genuinely interested in his opinion of it.
