I understand your fidelity to Coach O and his tenure at LSU. I’ve always respected your commitment to standing your ground, but to say LSU’s defense (based on what we’ve seen in 2 games) is as good or better than what we’ve seen from Georgia in 2 games is asinine.

Now, I’m not saying LSU doesn’t have talent or potential, but Georgia is much tougher and looks to be in mid season form, while LSU is still trying to learn gap assignments and how not to arm tackle.

Id take every starter on Georgia’s defense over every starter on LSU outside of Maason Smith, Eli Ricks and Stingley. Factoring in health, I may cough up Stingley too.

Alright I will admit I am asinine if after only 2 games I think our D is as good as Georgia's and I am proven wrong. However isn't it a bit asinine to start calling for O's head as you say " after only 2 games"? BTW I am not in love with O. Yes I still think he is the best man for the job. Unlike some I won't judge him harshly for the opening loss or McNeese, I saw something different in both games than a lot of guys here . Watch our defense tonight.

Let's see if I have to admit I am asinine.

Georgia #1 Defense in the nation, #1 SEC

Top win: Beat #3 ranked team in the nation

LSU #48 Defense nationally, #8 in SEC

Top win: Beat an instate cupcake

I think folks are calling for his head based on 3 things:

    1) Most didn’t want him and were surprised by 2019 and then after 2020, gave all the 2019 credit to Aranda, Brady and Burrow. You can say he retained Aranda, brought in Burrow and Brady and I can say, Alleva retained Aranda, Busch brought in Burrow and Ensminger brought in Brady.

    2) It’s not about the last 2 games. It’s about the last 12 games. Yes, he lost a lot players. But it wasn’t as much about the Jimmy’s and Joe’s as much as it was about the soft culture and country club mentality around this program. LSU lost its fire. They became soft as baby shit. Couple that with all the off field antics. They’re getting more and more embarrassing. Being the HC of LSU isn’t just about winning games, it’s about representing the program with class.

    3) He hasn’t honored his word. What happened to, “I’ll only hire the best coordinators”? Do we need to review his coordinator hires? How much money has LSU had to spend on buying out his shit hires contracts? One of which he admitted he didn’t even interview! Why? Because he was out chasing tail! Then he goes out and brings in not 1, but 2 guys who have never called a play in their career. That’s not what a program like LSU does. That’s what a program like ULM does. He himself isn’t an X’s and O’s guy. All of the sudden he is going to bring in 2 coordinators and develop them? LMAO!!

LSU isn’t a training ground for rookie coordinators. LSU is supposed to be a perennial championship program.

LSU stuffing Central Michigan with a great defensive effort won’t impress.

What Georgia did to Clemson was impressive. The same night LSU was getting their shit pushed in at the LOS and couldn’t cover a crossing route to save their life against a PAC 12 team. The night said PAC 12 team didn’t punt one time in the 2nd half on their way to over 200 yards both rushing and passing.

Lastly, if you end up being correct, I’ll happily admit I was wrong.

    Patients, time will tell. Some questions;

1.Would you trade our secondary for Georgia's?
    2.Would you trade our DE's for Georgia's?
3.Would trade our DT's Smith, Roy, Guillory and Evans for Georgia's DT's?
    4. Who would you want at LB that Georgia has?

    Just asking.

Just chatted with a coach friend of mine that I confide in about football. I asked him why he thought LSU was not more up tempo against McNeese. His answer was immediate and short. He said too little experience and too little depth on the O line because of injuries. He expounded further and told me quick plays would be worse in that more missed assignments and you would risk wearing them out which might lead to even more injuries which LSU can't afford to have.

Just a little insight from an former college football position coach I know.
