It'd probably be in their best interest to get "the next big name" and build on the future of that HC then going for someone who more than likely won't be there in 2-3 seasons after using them as a stepping stone to the pros. Just my opinion though.
A few more to throw into my list: Gruden (probably not) Tedford Ferentz Shanahan (UF ties but a reach) Whittingham
I could see Ferentz as a good possibility... he's done well with what he's had at Iowa... he'd be a beast at UF.
Mike Stoops has done a good job reviving Arizona's fortunes. I think he would make a decent candidate.
guess nobody gave him the memo about Urban retiring... or he just thought Gainesville was that much of a toilet.
It would be funny to watch Carrol's whining if it were him. Oh, the SEC is so tough. I really had no idea! I never knew how good we had it in the PAC 1 er 10.
