I think your first 2 choices are most likely.

    Petrino and Peterson.

I think they would want Peterson the most, but I am not sure Peterson wants to leave a Boise State school that is guaranteed 10 plus wins every year. He loves it there.

Petrino will bolt in a minute.

i'm interested in the petrino angle. i think with florida talent, he would be scary.

imho texas, USC, and Florida are the best 3 jobs in the country and would seriously wonder why any coach at a non BCS school wouldn't jump at the chance to coach any of those schools.

    but everyone's different i guess.

espn speculated the utah hc whittingham would fit the mold: similar offense, similar background, etc.

don't see petrino after his foibles when leaving the atl, why would petersen leave bsu? the chance for :crystal: could lure him to gainsville.

i guess charlie strong knew this was coming and knew he wouldn't be the guy?

Mike Shanahan was a Gator assistant early in his career. I wonder if he would have any interest. Better job than the Redskins.

    Then there is Spurrier.

Do they bark up that tree again and is the bird still up there?

i agree with whoever said in another thread (327?) that spurrier is past his prime.

seems to me he's just going through the motions now.

if i were a florida fan, i would want someone up and coming that is just now hitting his peak. who that would be? i dont know.

I will throw a few names out there but they make me laugh.

    Tubberville:lol:
    Fulmer:lol: Not happening
Cower Would be interesting but I doubt he would even consider it.
    Spurrier:wave:
Weiss (He is done with College)

Butch Davis (Could work if they wanted him)
    Dan Mullen
Del Rio will need a job soon
    Greg Schiano (Not sure)
    Paul Johnson (GT)
Chris Peterson (Boise St.) same story as Meyer.
    Gary Patterson (TCU)

I doubt Carrol or Stoops would leave at this time but it might be hard for Stoops to pass up.
