Re: WHO SHOULD START.... A college QB throwing blocks downfield - sounds impressive until a safety or OLB takes his head off. I noticed this, too - but my reaction was concern for his health. I'm guessing he won't be doing this in the bowl game.
No argument there. But zero interceptions is not the hallmark of a great QB. Of course, Lee's the other extreme. I'd have been happy with 15/21 for 250 yards, 2 TDs and 1 int. Don't get me wrong - I hope Jefferson is the future and kicks @ss in the bowl game. But all the Lee hate is rubbing me the wrong way. Kid has a lot of guts and, personally, I think he's going to surprise a lot of folks next year. My guess is we go from no good QB options to two solid QB options (and an impressive #3) next year. If/when Lee learns to check off his receivers and not force throws into coverage, he's going to give Jefferson a run for his money next year. Time will tell.
JJ... PLEEEEEASE Les. I like Lee, too. He just never shined this year. JJ is a natural. They may both end up very good. Just seems that JJ starts from a higher position.
It sounds to me like Crowton plans to start Lee: Crowton is looking forward to working with three healthy quarterbacks when the Tigers begin their bowl preparations in December for either the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta on Dec. 31 or the Liberty Bowl in Memphis on Jan. 2. "I think he was ready to come in late this year," Crowton said of Jefferson. "He's worked hard. He's made some good plays. I think he's going to get better. I'll get Jarrett Lee back, and he's going to learn from watching this game. He'll get healthy and we'll get Hatch back. So we'll be good quarterback wise for the bowl game."
I just watched "Inside LSU Football" and Miles was saying that how it would be good that all three of our QB will be healthy, but that JJ would most likely be the starter.
JJ has earned the start. He should get it. It's more than the numbers. The team played for him. Not as well as I would have liked but better than they did for Hatch or Lee. I think he's going to grow into the team leader we need and as part of his development he starts the bowl game.
 You mean, like all those 3 and outs? And penalties? And missed assignments? He's promising. But LSU got beat by the worst team in the SEC. Mostly because the team most certainly did NOT play - period.
I saw one clip during the game and the offense was on the sidelines in a timeout and JJ seemed to be proactive in the huddle and talking to the players. It wasn't calling a play because the coaches were right there but it was more or less like him taking control. He seems to be comfortable with the pressure and taking control. I think those are intangibles that don't show up until they are put into the position and I think JJ has it. I like Lee and his ability to bounce back for bad performances but he has just made some awful decisions and forces throws because he really doesn't scramble well, whereas JJ has the option of picking up yards on a scramble. I think JJ should get the start for the bowl game. The defense lost this game for us, just like they have lost so many other games. Arky is a bad team but we made them look great. C'mon Casey Dick and his brother destroyed our secondary. That just shouldn't have happened. That is how bad this defense has fallen. Miles has to change that drastically and get those 2 @ss-clowns out of the DC position. Wait a minute......We're going to a bowl game? I had no idea? Which one the Poinsetta Bowl or New Orleans Bowl?
yeah i agree with you there. i think he was sacked 3 times in the second half. after the first drive we had i think 3 3 and outs. Look, Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee both need to be put in situtations that will give them the best opportunity for success and i just dont think our coaching staff has done a great job of that this season. And it would help if our receivers would catch the ball, run better routes, and it would also help in our over rated offensive line would pass block better. Everything on the offensive side of the ball can be fixed, its the defense that scares me.
