Re: WHO SHOULD START.... did you see the play where he 'scrambled" up the middle on a designed pass play that he couldn't find an open reciever? he got hit but he didnt hesitate, he turned it into SOMETHIng, meanwhile LEE would have crapped his diaper and ate a sack or thrown a pick six :rolleye33:
Re: WHO SHOULD START.... I don't know about the crapping part, but the pick 6 thing I can agree with. :hihi:
What are the odds of Lee getting the start in the bowl game? I haven't kept up with the status of Lee's ankle, but if it's a sprain that's not too serious and he's able to play at the end of the month, does he get the start over JJ? Given how well Jefferson has done in his last 1.5 games I'd give the kid all the PT he can get, but knowing how much Les has invested with Lee this season, it's not inconceivable that stubbornness may prevail and Lee gets the start, assuming he's near or at 100%. Anyway, just some food for thought. Fire away.
Re: What are the odds of Lee getting the start in the bowl game? Jarrett Lee has a great chance of starting if Les and Crowton enjoy the prospects of unemployment.
im not sure im comfortable with either one being able to guide lsu into the future. one can pass far, one can run fast. I think JJ's long wind-up is going to limit him in sec contests. but no way should jlee start the bowl game.
Jordan Jefferson is and should be our quarterback. Lee and Hatch should only see the field if Jefferson is hurt or if one of them has been promoted to holder.
I understand the frustration with Lee. I understand the hopefulness toward JJ. But...JJ was 9/21 for 148 yards. Against Arkansas. With a team full of talent and an offensive line that is supposed to be one of the best in LSU history. Not great. He ran like between 17 and 19 times for 50 net yards. That's just over 2.5 yards per carry. That's not great, either. JJ should start in the bowl game. But the starting job next season is wide open. And Jarrett Lee is very much in the thick of earning the job, I think.
Re: WHO SHOULD START.... That draw to trinton up the middle, my jaw hit the floor. Did anyone else notice JJ passing up the little guy and throwing a block on the db? I never see a QB downfield blocking, not to mention for a guy that runs a <4.4 40! I was sold right then. THe kid has passion and goes hard, really hard, every play!
Since none of the QB's are Seniors, I would start the QB that gives the team the best chance to win.... My vote is for JJ. :geauxtige:geauxtige :geauxtige:geauxtige
