Oh I agree... same reason why unless PSU went undefeated the Big 10 doesn't see the NC game. But I think OU as well as UT are different teams then those others... but only time will tell. But for all practical purposes I don't see the Big 12 stopping the SEC in this game.
We said that about OU the last 3 times they played in a BCS bowl game. And all three times were embarrassing outcomes. That's all I am saying. And I think McCoy being much more of a dual threat gives Florida more problems on D.
I agree to an extent, but for McCoy to run against the Gator D... he's going to have to be willing to put his neck out there, and every time he's done that the last few years he's ended up coming out of games hurt. Although I think he's a better QB than Bradford.
Texas has only lost once in their bowl games the past 5 seasons Oklahoma has only won once in their bowl games the past 5 seasons Since it seems a foregone conclusion that either of them would wipe the floor with Mizzou and thsu end up in the NC against Florida or Bama, I would prefer Texas goes there because Oklahoma just chokes in the postseason for whatever reason. And, not to make too much of the head-to-head, but no matter what the fact remains that Texas beat Oklahoma on a neutral site and Texas already beat Mizzou as well. But honestly I can't really see either team putting up too much of a fight against Florida. These Big 12 teams just don't play defense.
A lot like 05 when everyone thought USC would win pretty easily. But Texas won. I just think they give us the best chance at a classic NC.
I'd go with Texas since they won the game against OU. OU appears pretty deserving as well, but we'll see... I also think Texas is a team that could possibly beat Florida. Texas has a great QB that can run and that is something that is very hard to stop for any defense. Also, Texas has a huge amount of athletic talent all over their team (especially on O).
