I agree -- Grant would be my guess as to a possible replacement. I attended VCU as an undergrad and follow them closely and attend some of the games here and there. Their style of play is defense- and pressure-oriented, and there have been a number of games this year where VCU has allowed 60 points or less, and some 50 or less. The CAA is a very good mid-major conference, and teams have been successful in beating the big boys, as exemplified by George Mason's Final Four run a couple of years ago, and VCU beat Duke last year in the first round of the NCAA's. Other teams in the CAA have enjoyed some measure of recent success as well (ODU, Hofstra, Drexel).

I would hate to see Grant leave VCU, but he is primed for a bigger program, as VCU is really more of a stepping stone for him. He's also an excellent recruiter; VCU has some talented freshman this year.

How about the guy at Vanderbilt? Is he making too much $$$ to come here? I'm sure the powers at LSU understand we're gonna have to put out some money for a coach.

Tim Floyd, No way he leaves, he has a brand new building and stud recruits.
Mark Few, will not leave for LSU, he has been offered better bball jobs and turned them down. He has built a great program at Gonzaga.
Scott Drew.......Would be a hell of a pickup for LSU. If you can turn Baylor around after that Titanic of a program with a murderer on the team, etc. He would do well at LSU. Great Basketball family.

Drew Bennett at WSU has done a great job and is a young talent. He will not be able to continue to win in Pullman Washington, and I am sure he realizes that as well and must be looking to step up.

I saw on that firejohnbrady website that they had John Calipari's name. Come on now!!! That's some wishful thinking right there.

If he's on there then I nominate Rick Pitino, Billy Donovan and Phil Jackson.

Agree with Bennett. Floyd and Few are wishful thinkings for me. Drew is our best and most realistic hope

I've been following Drew since he took the job at Baylor. Baylor has beaten South Carolina at Columbia, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M at College Station this year. He has done a tremendous job building Baylor into a contender.
Drew or Grant would be my choices.
