With the running backs we have, does Michael Ford redshirt?

Can someone list those who redshirt this year??

from what i am hearing ford is tearing it up right now, and may play some this season, but thats rumblings. I would think that Craig Loston would be a redshirt because of his injury and the clearinghouse taking forever to clear him.

I can't see Ford redishirting but that's just my hunch. I think the staff would want him to have some experience for next year.

I'm going to say almost all of the incoming class will redshirt, but here's my best guess as to who WON'T:

    Russell Sheppard - #3 QB/ gadget back/ Secret Weapon
    Rueben Randle - #3 or #4 WR
    Dominique Allen - FB
    Sam Montgomery - DE depth

    Chris Faulk - OL depth
    Kiki Mingo - Special Teams
Maurice Claiborne - Special Teams, #5 WR
    Kevin Minter - Special Teams
    Chris Davenport - DL Depth

I'd be suprised to see anyone else get very much playing time.

Before someone brings up Craig Loston, let's remember 2 things: 1) he's not cleared yet, 2) there may be an injury issue.

    Do you think Randle redshirts?

Pretty good guesses and I would include Helton.

Downs or Davenport will not redshirt to help with the depth at DT.

I would take out Kiki though because he has to beef up some.

If Randle is anywhere near as good as he is cracked up to be there is no way he will redshirt. By the time the Tigers get into the meat of the SEC schedule Randle should be the 3rd or 4th option in the passing game.

I 'spose he thinks he will be the #2 receiver actually.

And I am one that believes that as well.

I guess Ford could get some snaps just enough to avoid being disqualified for a redshirt (first 3 games?).

I hope he does. I don't want to see him coming in raw next season when he will be heavily counted on to carry the load.
