Who plays Bama in Atlanta this year?

After watching the first weekends games, in the East, I'd say SC. I hope SC, but UGA can score alot and quick.

 

Florida vs Bama again for the de facto national championship. Then hopefully Boise St. gets their shot so that they can get busted in the mouth and be shut up once and for all until they join a stronger conference and learn that all wins are not created equal.

 

Jeez, one game into the season, and we're naming Bama and Fla in the championship game.

Maybe we ought to just forfeit the rest of the season :bncry:

Has nothing to do with one game into the season. I made that same prediction the day after national signing day signing day based on coaching staff changes (or in this case non changes), returning talent, and incoming signing classes. It ain't rocket science.

 

We need VaTech to roll over Boise. That shuts up the Bronco fans.

Then we need the Tigers to beat VaTech. That's when we earn some respect.

I agree that Bama is the best in the West right now - but hope that will change.

I am not sure I see Florida back in Atlanta, but not sure who would be there if not Florida. Strange.

Hold on guys, 11 games to go, starting with Penn State. We played an over matched and somewhat intimidated inferior opponent Saturday. Bama played with a lot of intensity and all things considered, was good to see. Richardson was dominating, Lacy was very productive (111 yards and a touchdown) But Goode was very very Good as the 3rd tailback. Over 300 yards passing with AJ MacCarron looking nothing like a first game, RS freshman. Julio caught a 29 yard, one handed spectacular TD grab. Defense gave up a little over 170 total yards (89 yards rushing, 86 passing) had one interception. All in all decent first showing but nothing worthy of coronation, yet.


ESPN "GameDay" is on their way to Tuscaloosa.

 

How does this happen?

 

Let's hold off on anointing any hardware to Bama just yet. Though we steamed rolled a pitiful, overmatched San Jose St. team our defense didn't scream "SEC Champs". CNS was not please at all with our defenses performance at halftime though the score was 31-3. I've watched the game again and after watching it a second go 'round I can see what he saw.

Players running out of position. Players taking bad angles. Players not making the proper adjustments etc. We are nowhere near in a position to be "given" any trophy this early. We played a grossly inferior team that didn't have the talent nor the confidence to capitalize on the mistakes that we made on defense.

If these defensive mishaps do not get fixed we could very well lose two to three games this season.

 

Wow, you'd think we just lost our first 5 games judging by this thread. This is sad. How bout we just take it a game at a time and support our team...or not
