Locker is said to be healthy again after putting up over 2,000 yards in the air two years ago. W returns their top 3 WRs. I hear they're not top talent but the experience and continuity has to count for something. Seems like they'll have more improvement on the offensive side.

That made me laugh out loud.

Yeah, actually I am. But not until the summer of 2020 or 2021 when my son and I will be wrapping up our tour of all 30 MLB stadiums. That'll be our last summer doing the MLB thing and will, without a doubt, be the most brutal drive. I've considered flying into San Fran or Oakland and driving from there, but it seems like cheating since we will have driven to all of the rest of the stadiums. We'll see.

And now back to your previously scheduled thread . . .

True. Plus it provides a bit more seating than the 35k capacity offered in Pullman. :yelwink2:

Let's compare then. Sarkisian had 3 years at USC working with Norm Chow, then a year with the Raiders, then back to USC as Assistant HC, then added the title of OC. Wulff has 7 years at Eastern Washington....check. Interesting that you only gave Holt credit for Idaho but neglected his time (6 years) at USC as the LB coach and then DC. Objective indeed.
    Quite the duo, I agree. 43-16, 42-12, 55-13, 28-22, 47-14, and last year's 69-0 sorta' helps that discussion along.

They won't overcome what LSU is bringing but I'm gonna' guess Wazzu will be struggling when it's your turn.

He can't compare with Tebow in terms of talent but he is a great athlete and a tough competitor. This year, he may be the best QB in the Pac.

Woot woot. But you have your years wrong Coug. Wazzu beat USC in 2002, 30-27 in OT. 2003 was a 43-16 loss.....for you.

Always? Really? Apple Cup standings alone have UDub at a 64-31-6 overall margin. Heck Wazzu has never put together more than a 2 game win streak in that rivalry in what, over 100 years? Their 3 NC's and 14 Rose Bowl appearances might suggest that only your recent history shows life in that regard. Good revisions though. :hihi:

They may never get the chance to open the chair. It will be a tough game for the Huskies to even compete. Their fans do a great job and are some of the best the Pac has to offer.

And hey! Wazzu is one of the few teams in the country to have an entry in the Urban Dictionary describing their style of play. Look it up.

    It can be done.

Dawg posters can be a lot of fun.......I sure found your post purty hillarious too.

Well, that made my day. You obviously know your stuff. Kudos to you! My post was meant to be tongue-in-cheek and most everything I said was spot on. You are just as hilarious as you've put your twist on all of it, well done.

Pullman is in the middle of nowhere. We have trouble filling our dinky little stadium so what's the point about that? Husky Stadium is becoming a safety issue that supposedly requires $150 million in repairs and another $150 million in upgrades.

Ask the people at UI about Holt. I don't deny he and Sarkisian did a good job at USC. Sarkisian has never been a head coach, not even at the hs level. Pete Carroll gets the credit for the ass-whoopings, not his assistants. I guess you're telling me his pedigree automatically is going to make him successful at UW, and Holt as well.

I'll say this in their favor, they certainly have the support and backing of the university and fan base. No expense was spared.

Coach Wulff was at Eastern for 15 years, the last 7 was as their head coach. Not quite as glamorous as being at USC, that's for sure.

I should have done my homework on the year (2002) we beat USC, because it's certainly doesn't happen often. We haven't fared all that well against the dub either, but we have finished ahead of them in the standings the last 7-8 years, and have won 4 of the last 5 Apple Cups.

I agree that Locker might be the best QB in the Pac-10. I think he's a great athlete, maybe someone can coach him up. He's an average passer with a an above average arm. He needs to work on his accuracy. He's a kid that sure has a ton of expectations placed upon him and he's handled it admirably to this point.

It's laughable that you'd claim 3 NC's. But that's just typical dub arrogance. Good luck against LSU. I don't think they give a rip either about your storied history.

    Awesome.
    I try.
Just a little smack, no big deal.

That would be sorta like asking the Bama folks about Mike Price. Well, maybe not.
    Does that matter?

Of course not. It's a solid foundation though.

Did you read about the $70k commode that Harbaugh just got? It happens.

I thought the point was about HC experience which is why I said.......7 years.

Okay. I thought you'd said you ALWAYS finish ahead of UDub.

Oops. I'm no Dawg. I do however have a soft spot for the Huskies. I think Tiger fans are going to have a great experience all the way around. Great trip, great location, great fans, great win.

Interesting thread. The scary part was that someone said Locker is a faster Tebow. Hopefully that's just crap from a fan. I'd hate to play a faster Tebow.

ESPN just came out with an article where Sarkisian said he runs a 4.4 forty at 230lbs. Scout has him as a 4.6 guy out of HS.

No way Locker is a Deity. There is only one, and his name is Tebow. Thou shalt not worship false Tebows. At least, not in 2009.

Seriously, though. Fast is a very small part of what makes a Tebow. I think Locker is more like an Andrew Hatch with a stronger arm. Hatch was pretty cagey on the loose. That's how I see Locker.

That's impressive, if true. But can he truck Laron Landry?
