Ugh, and Tebow. I remember it vividly because my Florida buddy was sitting on the other end of the couch when it happened. Not only that, he CALLED IT right before the snap. He didn't even have to say anything. He just looked over with a **** eating grin and pointed. Bastard.

I don't really know of many cases like this one in football but I have to assume that if this plays to anyones advantage it would be ours, and I'll take any help we can get.

Question for LSU fans will you guys run sets that will force us to take LBs off the field and put in DBs? Our nickle guy is a JC guy whos a S/CB and is supposed to be pretty good, but I would prefer to have our LBs on the field as mush as possible.

Also it will be pretty cool to actually see the visitor seating fill up again, probably hasent happened since Notre Dame. I think you guys will be the first OOC team to come here in a while that we didn't have a serious amount of dislike for.

Yes. You will see no-back, one-back, two-backs, and the occasional full house backfield. You can see two, three, four, or five receivers. OC Gary Crowton is a very multiple set offensive guy.

I would suspect Washington coaches are fairly familiar with Crowton since he spent a couple seasons at Oregon.

Possibly, but it was a wide-open spread offense at Oregon. He has had running backs at LSU like he never had before.

I doubt that the coaches are any more or less familiar with Crowton than any other OCC opponent since Sark was the QB coach at USC when Crowton was leading the offense and Nussmeir OC/QBs was coaching in the NFL. I think that the new staff will be prepared as it is their first game. Personally I'm not too worried about coaching matchups the player are what concerns me.

i think it will be an interesting and competitive game..... in 2012. seriously, no offense to your school, or program, but if LSU doesn't completely wipe washington off of the field, i will be worried for our season. :)

also, you guys HAVE to realize that this LSU team is not the team of last season. plus these guys have a serious chip on their shoulders. you don't want to see an LSU team that plays with swagger AND pride.

i realize that washington will be VASTLY better than they were a year ago. this is good. however even the washington team that played close games with tOSU and fUSC would get demolished by the LSU team this season IF things go as they should. and both sides have a lot of questions that need to be answered. both sides also should be vastly improved -- just on absolutely, 100 percent, completely different echelons. again, no offense. :)

i hope you guys go 12-1 next season. maybe i'm being a bit altruistic though, because that would really be a boon to our SOS.

of course i'm dreaming. you guys won't do quite that well, and LSU will not hang 60 on you like a lot of people are predicting. LSU is certainly capable of it, no question, but unless we see a complete team effort like in the 2007 virginia tech game, it won't happen. for whatever reason LSU has a habit of playing to its opponent. this could bode well for UW, but i think that the disparity in talent and coaching will more than make up for it.

i look forward to this game. good luck with the rest of the season! i'd love to see a HUGE upset of fUSC!

It'll have to be better than beginning last season @ 10 a.m. with a big hurricane breathing down everyone's necks.

I got just one (1) question. Who is scheduling LSU games. I mean, first game of season, traveling 9000 miles cross country to play a 0-12 team. They are better than 0-12 I know but it's an everything to lose and nothing to win game. They'll be sleeping in their beds and eating their food and our guys will be in an airplane and eating (salty) peanuts. I mean, come on. Like last year. Appalachian St. They beat Michigan, and I guess somebody thought; HEY, let's give them a shot at LSU. Everything to lose and nothing to gain. Then after UW, we come back home and play three (3) in state schools. Are we trying to join the old Gulf States Conference? Then, we give Florida a bye week to prepare for us while we're playing Georgia. If that's not enough, then we give Alabama a bye week to prepare for us while we play some damn body, I forget.

I don't care what anybody says. I think we got a mole in our recruiting Dept.
