My line of thinking is a little different. OL and DT seem to be down this year compared to the last few IMO it will be harder to land a top OL compared to RB especially when we have guys like Parker, Dontae, and others who could easily fill in as a satisfactory 2nd RB behind Storm in this class. Plus we are heavily favored to land both Hilliard and Hill in the next class and could add a 3rd next year. OL are hard to come by and a top prospect to come and sure up our line would be really nice to have with the unproven talent we have currently in the wings. I think he is less prone to being a miss than most RBs in this class. I do agree that RB is probably one of our top needs in this class though and Lache would be the perfect fit.
I just think we are in better shape on the roster right now at OL than RB. We have recruited very well on the OL in the last three years IMO, while we have not signed that many RBs. Plus, there is La'el Collins as an elite LT prospect next year, after signing Faulk last year, along with a few others the last few years like Greg Shaw. As for RB, yeah, Dontae would be good, but Lache is elite and perfect for a spread offense. He can take it to the house, which I don't think any of our current RBs or ones we are recruiting can. Hill and Hilliard are also good, but they aren't homerun hitters either.
Ill take Henderson. Lache is a great RB, but you can find a million great RB's. Not a ton of OL out there.
Seantrel Henderson would be my number one but I would settle for Damien Robinson 6-8 330. at least he has LSU listed. I'm thinking we need linemen most of all..
Seastrunk 10 times out of 10. Running backs like him come around once a decade. He doesn't need a great offensive line to shine, they just need to block for a second and he's gone. His receiving ability is also superb. Seastrunk is going to be competing for the heisman no matter where he goes. He doesn't need every carry, just 15-20 and he can completely blow a game open.
