I second that. He kept the ship on a steady course for the major part of the season with the offense taking on a whole new identity.:tigereye:
I woulda picked Lee but he didn't lead us through our hardest win of the season. He actually hurt us...
The offensive line as a group has made this team what it is. Undefeated averaging 38 points a game and controlling the clock. The red zone offense is a direct reflection on the offensive line dominating the line of scrimmage and pushing the defense back.
If the season was over now I'd have to say Lee, but it's close enough that it could definitely change in the games to come.
When the option to ford was ran during overtime of the bama game, an lsu lineman( forgot which one), held up two bama defenders at one time. He had a hand on each battling them and allowing ford to turn the corner. It's plays like that over and over in each game that has allowed lsu to be where they are at. With first and goal to go our offense has consistantly scored touchdowns behind a fantastic front line and smashmouth fullback play. Our ability to beat the phuck out of defensive linemen has allowed this team to succeed. We even had the mighty Alabama defense beaten and demoralized by the end of the game. Our five offensive linemen are the heart and soul of the lsu offense. Tiger nation should be proud.
There's offense, defense, and special teams. Punters don't play offense. Also, an offensive line unit is made up of multiple personnel. The criteria is one individual, not a unit. Continue. Or as Fang would say, "now pick one".
