I disagree, I think Arkansas is the better team defensively, but they can't run the ball for jack. Auburn has given up yards and points in bunches, Arkansas hasn't. I don't know about barely beating, but I definitely believe that the Bama team we see in Baton Rouge will look nothing like the one we see the next couple of weeks. They will be re-energized for sure.
Other than losing a starting guard for the season on the first play of the first game, LSU has done fairly well as far as injuries go. We've had a rash of losing starting running backs and quarterbacks in the last decade. I just jinxed us, didn't I?
I can only hope red. Last season we were as injury free as I can remember. Julio keeps getting knicked up and this year we have several with knicks, sprains and bruises. We need a few more players to step up I think we have been pretty lucky so far. Our best games were Arkansas and Florida.
I can't believe you include the AR game as one of ya'lls best games. If it were not for Bonehead Mallet handing you guys the game, you would've lost. I didn't think Bama played anywhere near their potential against the Hogs. Now .. against FL ...you guys were clicking, and FL clearly was not.
With the greatest respect in the world, no. If the Tide start these same exact players next year, I like our chances to beat them...again. The Alabama defense has six sacks on the year. And only 23 tackles for loss. Total. They are dead last in the SEC in both departments. Which is understandable given that you can time their DL with a sundial. The west is LSU's to lose. QB was the only weak link, and the two QB system fixed that. :LSU231:
