Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Florida, Carolina and Arkansas are still ranked with the meat of the SEC schedule coming up.

LSU and Auburn are still undefeated. Bama has looked dominant at times but has a loss already. Florida, Arkansas, and Carolina have shown flaws and taken losses, but are capable of major upsets. LSU has already shown that a team with 3 losses can win the SEC and a team with 2 losses can win the national title. So none of these teams are out of it.

I think that #6 Auburn is one-dimensional and relies on a single key player. Both Bama and LSU have the defense to expose them.

I think #7 Alabama still has the best overall effectiveness this season and the best shot at winning the West.

I think #9 LSU has the next best shot, but it depends on the offense continuing to make progress. A big IF.

I think #12 Arkansas has the best spoiler opportunity at this point, more so than troubled #22 Florida, and flawed #10 South Carolina.

Right now, I think Bama is still the favorite, but if LSU improves the passing game and wins against Auburn in auburn, I think we can take Bama at our place and become the SEC favorite for the showdown at Arkansas.

I think Auburn is a fluke and Alabama might still be considered the best. LSU is right up there too, but they are 2nd or 3rd. South Carolina is also up there.

I think South Carolina proved that Alabama's defense isn't as good as we all thought and teams with good offense can beat them.

Bama's still a great team. What we all seem to overlook is that Bama could've easily lost a couple of games last year. They actually are losing them this year. LSU is having the opposite experience.

I think its Bama, LSU, Auburn, South Carolina, Arky - in that order. Balance puts Bama on top, Defense puts LSU #2 over Auburn.

LSU, we have the quarterback situation somewhat figured out. We have the best defense in the SEC, and a really good SEC running back, along with exceptional special teams.

Think about the D for a second. We have a lockdown corner, a brilliant middle linebacker who is a coach on the field, and an explosive, disruptive tackle. Tell me another team in the SEC that has that?

Bama is at sort of a crossroads in their season.

SC showed that if you can stop their running game, McElroy will struggle to get it done. Bama's defense is talented but just too young and inexperienced overall. This time next year, look for them to be shutting everybody down.

Now everyone will dare McElroy to throw the ball. And teams who can pass will air it out on Bama. Arkansas has to still be kicking themselves for that horrible 2nd half performance by their offense. Opportunity missed.

LSU has the most talent overall on both sides of the ball. If LSU continues to play clean and crisp offensively, none of the teams on their schedule have a chance to beat them. None. That's a huge IF.

I think Auburn is legit. They aren't perfect but they are awfully tough to beat. That kid at QB is playing with a ton of confidence, and the Kentucky game just solidified his self belief.

Team - LSU, but the coaching holds them back. If the coaches can get their **** straight, its no contest.

Overall (Team + Coaches) - I'd say USCe. But I think they will fold in the second half.

There's no doubt in my mind, across the board, we're the best "team". In addition to the talent on both sides of the ball and special teams, we probably are also the best "team" in terms of solidarity. Having gone through what they have and seeing them rally around our coach has to been a bonding experience.

There are 4 solid teams in the West, but all 4 have flaws. I'm not sure there is a #1 team right now. It may still be 'Bama, but with them already having a loss, they're really going to have to earn it.

The East, IMO, is a 2 horse race - USCe and UF. Those 2 teams will meet in the Swamp on Nov 13th. I'm still picking the Gators.

    I'm going to say:

LSU vs Florida in ATL with LSU winning.

It's still Bama's world and the rest of us are just living in it. I'll be surprised if I'm wrong about that, but hopefully we'll find out that I am on 11/6.
