Kiel picking Indiana seems so unreal to some, but there's a good reason he did. His brother is already there, and it's not likely mom and dad can travel all over the country watching two kids play college ball. I'm sure that had a LOT to do with his commit to IU. There certainly isn't any other reason to choose IU over Bama.
