And why do I keep seeing he chose FSU over LSU and Alabama. I cannot find a thread on this guy on the first 3 pages of this forum. Why is LSU being thrown into this. Makes it look like LSU "Lost out" when according to our board and I dont see Bhelm giving us updates he was never a serious option anyway. Bhlem was her seriously ever considering LSU ?
If you haven't heard of Jameis Winston, you don't follow recruiting at all...FWIW. He's a future MLB baseball star that FSU has the luxury as claiming as a commit. He's also one of the top 2 QB recruits in the country. The reason you never saw him seriously mentioned as an LSU target is because he was never coming here, and may never play a down of college football ANYWHERE.
Your right I don't... I read this message board for updates and that's it. I realized following the whims of a 17 year old who and these rating services who rate these 17 year olds is quite maddening. More so when guys like Josh reed or Jacob hester are 2 stars and we do cartwheels over some 5 star that is a nothing but hype. See Shepard, x Carter etc etc.... So if I don't see a single thread here on this board about a player I assume it's not important. Sadly Bhelm is my single source of recruiting information.
Shed not a tear my man, for Bhelm is the only source you need.:thumb: a new and improved TF exclusive I would hope!
Sorry, I haven't had to time to be as active as before but I still keep up with everything. Winston talked us up from the beginning but didn't visit us this year, well I don't remember him making it here. QBs to keep an eye on are Greyson Lambert, Anthony Alford (Likely MLB too), and Jeremy Liggins.
he's a black dual-threat QB and espn has him as the #1 overall QB recruit in the nation, rivals has him as the #1 dual-threat QB, scout has him as the #2 overall QB he's from Birmingham, Alabama, and had offers to both Alabama and Auburn, so if anybody should be sad for not getting him, it's those two (although Auburn already has a commitment from the rivals #3 pro-style QB/scout #5 overall QB) it's impressive LSU was in the mix to get him in the first place, being that he had offers to go pretty much anywhere (Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oklahoma, etc) but, being that he's likely to go to major league baseball a la Zach Lee, he wasn't anyone to get too excited about first one is a white pro-style QB from Georgia, other two are black dual-threat QBs that are both from Mississippi. all three have great offer lists. that MLB isn't middle linebacker, it means he's likely to go the major league baseball route too
definitely biggest loser is Bama. on Tidefans.com they have a thread they locked after 366 posts titled "QB Jameis Winston Updates: It's Announcement Day" i'd imagine there is plenty of butthurt in that thread
Winston and Gunner Kiel have been playing, pick that team all summer. Actually, Bama went hard for Gunner, who recently picked his home state team, Indiana. One reason, Gunner has been the favorite is because of Winston's constant quotes to anyone who will listen, that if he is offered first round baseball money, he is gone. From everything I've read, he may be able to accomplish that, standing on his head. So Winston gives more the apperance of fool's gold and if he had chosen the Tide, Bama would have still been hot and heavy for another big time commit. Bama has Lambert, out of Georgia on their radar.
