I didnt know anything of McCoy possibly opting out of his commitment. That would suck becasue he is a big body with potential. Jones is the one that has been questionable from the start. I too hope he doesnt leave because he has monster potential. What do you think about Rishaw Johnson, you dont feel LSU would push hard for him if one does back out?
I think Rishaw Johnson is a backup backup plan. If we were to lose 2 or 3 linemen, then obviously we would have to look at him. If we lose one & a maybe like a dlinemen that could've played Oline, then we'd much rather just bring in Lonnie Edwards.
Thanks for the info. I wasn't considering who would qualify and that certainly should be considered. I guess another consideration would be Chad Jones playing baseball--which would give Scott or Berry more of a chance. I don't find the prep or JC info on rivals extremely reliable based on how they had Keiland ranked behing his backup at Hargrove last year, so I hope Byrd is a stud.
Did anyone realize Rashad Mason is a 2 star on rivals and a 4 star on scout? Since he is from Tenn and not considering Tenn as far as I know, we would seem to have as good a chance as anyone at him. I also noticed Scout has Byrd listed as a 5 star where as Rivals has him no better than a 3 star if I remember correctly. CParso, I assumed you meant Gabriel Bryant when you referred to Bryant, but did you mean Dez Bryant? If not what about him?
Mason is a guy that Rivals just hasn't gotten around to evaluating because he came on the scene so late. If they redo their rankings again he'll probably be a 4 star. Mason was a 2 star on Scout as well until recently. Byrd is a good WR, but I don't think I agree with the 5 star ranking - he's probably more like a 4 star IMO. Yes, Gabriel Bryant. I will not talk about Dez Bryant unless someone else mentions him, there is no reason to. Gabriel Bryant is back at his old school & it doesn't look like all the progress he had made is going to pay off now.
