If we don't get to Wilson it could be a long day. LSU threw about 7 passes last week so the opportunity to sack Jefferson might not be there however we run a lot of QB keeps and when the hole doesn't develop Jefferson may be prone to taking the sack. That being said I say wilson gets dropped more bc they pass more then we do and Jefferson has come a long way and knows when to get rid of the ball after 3 seconds.
Wilson has a really quick release if you have watched their game against Bama, so I would guess it's JJ who gets more sacked as he holds the ball too long.
Wilson: the Tiger defense will have him running for his life most of the game, and once the R-Kansas O starts to wear down, he's going to start getting hit a lot causing him to make bad decisions. Lots of pressure equals more sacks and like I said in another thread, I predict 3 INTs from our defense.
The Tigers will take the lead in the game and the Hogs do not run the ball well and against the Tigers they will not run the ball at all. Wilson will be a duck and he is going to be hit often and hard ! We will see Hog QB #2 on Friday
BTW - I saw some highlights of the Bama-Arky game yesterday where Wilson got face-crushed 3-4 times in that game. Very impressive that he got up and kept making plays and I was also impressed with the hits the Bammers were able to get on him. (Does anyone have a YouTube clip of those Bama hits on Wilson?). Unless Wilson channels his best Geno Smith routine with a two-step quick pass for 3-5 yards at a time, I have a feeling that Wilson will get sacked WAY more than JJ does and may not finish the game.
That stats came out mostly based on Lee's performances. The topic of this thread is whether JJ gets sacked more if I recall correctly.
the Hogs couldnt protect Wilson against Bama and they wont protect him from us. Different qb's, different styles. They could both have multiple sack games. Jefferson used to wait forever getting rid of the ball and would give up tons of sacks. He seems to play with a little more urgency now.
If we don't get pressure on Wilson we will lose this game. Wilson will pick us apart if he has all day to pass. I don't see it happening. Lsu will get pressure on Wilson. Count on it.
