no. you were insinuating that our guys were rated higher BECAUSE lsu recruited them. when you said:

they weren't highly rated because LSU went after them.
they were highly rated because everybody wanted them.

 

EXCATLY, and it the way the team performs , We don't lose because we have inferior talent, we lose because we make stupid decitions , mental errors , . If we just did not have the talent i could accept that but that is NOT the case

 

Okay, now I follow you. I still believe Ole Miss has better football players than LSU. Some of the kids on LSU were overrated, I saw kids on Wash. beating LSU on the O and D line. Hell I seen Kids from LA Tech Phy. whipping some LSU Tigers.

 

I kind of like that idea...has ties along the east coast and is known as a great recruiter and coach. I could live with that.

Gruden, Patterson.. quite a few big names out there. Unfortunately.. Miles has a ridiculous ass contract.

 

There is a reason TT has been fired, there is also a reason Gary Patterson has not and is quickly showing up on every coaching search in the country. Give Patterson LSU type players and he will beat half the teams in the NFL.

 

I hope this will not be an issue for us for a long, long time. A really premature thread here.

 

I know everyone is mad or disgusted, but this thread is a little premature. Miles will be kept as the coach as long as he wins 8-9 games a season and has a decent bowl record. The AD will keep him, if that continues.

 

If I remember right Brandon Lafell was a 3 star player that will soon be a first round pick at the next level. I never believed that the number of stars by a players name shows really how good the player is. Yes its nice to get 5 star players but thats not what you need to win, Look at USC and they get more 5 star players than anyone. I can understand what you mean but stars means nothing on the field.

 

If we had to get a new HC, i am with you with Gary Patterson, mostly because of his defense and recruiting.
