We did this when Saban was pondering leaving for Miami (my 1st days on the forum), and I must say for what I thought would be a pretty bad thread, it turned out to be a pretty good one. So... if Miles leaves... who do you want, and why? Post a bio and/or credentials if possible, because that is what made the old thread so good, people copied and pasted the bio of their selected choice in their post and when it was all over, needless to say, we had a lot of information about everyone out there. I'm not saying Miles will or won't go anywhere... I just kinda want a running list of who is available, b/c while the LSU job may not be open, several SEC jobs are, so it is good to learn about those on the market, b/c we may be seeing them a lot for years to come.
Well, I have a friend whose father in law is a pretty big booster and is also friends with one of the player's fathers, who got it from another pretty big booster that Skip Bertman met with Spurrier in Orlando last week, and that it is already a done deal that Spurrier's on the way and that CLM's buyout check is already written. But this isn't the kind of thing your looking for, is it? I would love to see us go after Rich Rodriguez. The best of those out there with Louisiana ties, although he'd probably command a contract in excess of Saban's. Here's his bio: http://www.msnsportsnet.com/page.cfm?sport=football&show=64
I think he'd leave. He actually accepted the Bama job jor like a day before changing his mind (after WVA gave him more money). Don't know if he's come here or not, but I truly believe he would go for the right situation.
I was watching Gary Pinkel very closely during the KU/Missouri game Saturday night. He made plenty of gutsy calls, he looks to be in his early 40's (just a guess there), and he's accomplished great things @ Mizzou. He might be a coach looking for a step up in the eyes of the college football world, especially if he loses to OU Saturday and watches his #1 team drop like a submarine with screen doors.
1) Greg Schiano 2) Gary Patterson 3) Paul Johnson All three have won at programs that historically have not been winning programs. All three have very good academic track records with their respectiev schools. All three are (relatively) young and hungry.

I see Larry Coker on ESPN Radio talking about Sean Taylor. and at the end he said he was getting back into coaching... Would anyone want him?
