Some of the names being mentioned is ridiculous. Larry Fedora, um no thanks. Justin Fuente, again no thanks. Mike Gundy, ummm hell to the no. Dana Holgorsen, yeh I think i'll pass on that one too. MacIntyre, no offense to him, but again hell to the no. Imo, if it isn't Fisher or Herman, LSU should take a serious run at Petersen and Fleck. Worse case scenario they all say no, in which case you give the job to O and ride the storm with him until you can get the guy you actually want.
You'd take Herman with 26 games experience over Holgerson's 6 or 7 years as a HC? You'd hand the keys to 19 yr old PJ Fleck? Over Mike Gundy's record? Larry Fedora is more prepared to coach at LSU than Tom Herman is, IMO. And no, I don't think Fedora is a sexy, splash hire.
So...how do you think Jimbo will hold up toe-to-toe with Darth Saban? Herman is, of course, the only sexy hire. Unless we want to count PJ Fleck, who is good-looking; therefore making him actually sexy. But I digress. At least, we don't have any ugly dudes on our short list (not that Jimbo is all that hot, but anyway...)
Blah, Blah, Blah you guys would step over a $100 bill to pick up a penny. Got a weeks worth of popcorn to sit back and watch this monumental coaching mistake. If O isnt hired as HC or retained in some elevated fashion this will haunt this university for a decade. I was the first on this board to recognize after the first game Aranda was special and got laughed at and scorned for 3 weeks well I was right and I will be proven right again.
