Regardless of who ends up as HC, firing Miles was the right thing to do, they just did it 10 months too late. If Herman and Fisher say no, might as well Row the Boat.
Western Michigan coach. It's his thing. I think he might be a good choice if we don't keep eaux or can't get Herman/Peterson. I can't even put jimbo in the mix here.
Wasn't talking about me, I was one of the last to run out of patience with the last guy; and I would be good with O as long as we got a real OC and kept our current DC. But I think by the time the announcement time gets here the fan base will be like a six year old who has been thinking and waiting for Christmas morning since Thanksgiving. The gap between expectations and reality could be big.
UT has an easier path to the playoffs and virtually unlimited money. More importantly, they have a lot more money than their conference competition. With the right guy they can have the cream of the Texas recruits - which is some heavy cream. LSU is a top job, but so is UT. I don't see LSU as a much better job than UT.
That would be my biggest concern. Giving it to O mitigates that risk if a top OC is part of the package.
Yes, i was on board with that before today. The problem i see is O would probably want to retain most of the offensive staff and i think they need to clean house on that side .
