Suprised nobodys talked about this: FIRST ROUND BYE No matter what the outcome may be, this season is simply amazing. I'm completely convinced that without Payton, this team wins 6 gams....MAX. - Looks like our game will be against either the Cowboys, Philly, or the Seahawks. Can't play the #6 seed because if they advance, the Bears would get them. Which team are yall most confident/scared of?
Philly seems like a team that is starting to really gel with Garcia at QB. They have already come to the Dome and gave the Saints a scare, so they won't be worried about that one. Dallas seems to have lost their touch. Unless they get it back somehow, I don't see them beating the Saints in New Orleans. Seattle is the odd one. IF they show up, they are capable of beating anybody. If half of them show up, they'll hang around a while and not get embarrased, but if they come out flat it's an easy win. Not sure what Seattles problem is this year, they just can't seem to put it all together.
Philly is the only team that scares me in the NFC. Confidence is a mutha, and Philly has lots and lots of it right now. Garcia's play has spilled over onto the defensive side of the ball, where a rejuvenated bunch has been playing like gangbusters. This team was left for dead at 5-6. We match up best with the Cowboys. Then I would say Seattle, cuz their offense if so out of synch. But they will be dangerous as well once Darrell Jackson comes back. That's who they are missing, he makes Hasselback so much better. I am convinced the winner of Dallas/Seattle goes on to upset the Bears. So the Saints are looking at back to back home games to get to the Super Bowl.
I think if the saints win their first game, they go to the superbowl. If we have to play Chicago, we beat them cuz they have issues now. If we play anyone at the dome in the NFC Champoinship game, we win. There is now way the fans and the team are going to let themselves get beat at home to go to the big game. Now its a good thing there are 2 weeks till the Superbowl to give the players time to settle down after the big win.
I would take it a step further, the only team we don't match up well with from the AFC is Baltimore. We can beat San Diego. They rely on the pass rush to force turnovers, but its quite impossible to sack a QB who takes 3 step drops constantly and also has a quick release. This will neutralize their effectiveness on D. So go Chargers. We'll see you on the way to our Super Bowl championship.
