Wait a second. Are you telling me there are people out there who think that we're out of the recession and things are going to continue to improve as they have? That's pretty funny.
They are actually starting to talk about another trillion dollar stimulus. What do you think moody's will do to our credit rating after that? I guess democratic controlled states like California and unions like the seiu need a bailout.
How in the hell can so many college professors, that suppose to be the smartest people in this country, blindly follow the democrats in spending this country into oblivion? I mean what in the world are they thinking? Were 14 trillion, 14000000000, in debt. What part of fourteen trillion can't they understand ?
1. Maybe they are smarter than you. :yelwink2: Do you ever consider that you may be wrong? 2. University faculties are composed of a large number of political independents and many are republicans, they are not all democrats. Where do you get this notion? There have been many studies. The seminal work (Eitzen and Maranell 1968) found that most generalizations were not valid. Faculty political views vary significantly by field of study with the social sciences tending toward liberal, the natural sciences tending toward moderate, and business, engineering, and agriculture tending toward conservative (Eitzen and Maranell 1968; Faia 1974; Hamilton and Hargens 1993); women and minorities tend to be more liberal than male and non-minority faculty (Faia 1974; Lindholm, Astin, Sax, and Korn, 2002). Faculty at elite Ivy League schools tend to be more liberal than those at state universities (Eitzen and Maranell 1968; Lipset and Ladd 1974); rates of publications and grants are higher among liberal faculty than among conservative faculty (Hamilton and Hargens, 1993, Lipset and Ladd 1974); and younger faculty tend to be more liberal than older faculty (Eitzen and Maranell, 1968; Klein and Stern 2004; and Lipset and Ladd 1974). Part of the perception of faculty liberalism is that Social Studies faculty tend to be liberal and they are the ones that write and publish on society and politics. The moderate natural scientists and the conservative engineers and aggies write and publish in technical journals that the public sees less of.
