I know I've sort of derailed an AGW thread (imagine that) but since we were talking gravity I found out watching History 2 last night that Baton Rouge has 1 of only 2 of these bad boys in the country, perhaps the world. http://www.ligo.caltech.edu/docs/P/P060074-00.pdf It is a couple of lasers that shoot a beam through a 2.5 mile tube that bounces off of a mirror and comes back. The theory is that if there are any gravitational waves then the laser beams will be disrupted and allow light to escape. Pretty awesome stuff. I wonder if they do tours of the facility. I'm in if so.
LIGO is pretty big, you can see it on GoogleEarth. But it's not in Baton Rouge, it is in Livingstone Parish. They have an education center, and probably tours.
H2 said it was in Baton Rouge, I'll send them an email informing them to consult you first before they broadcast erroneous bullchit again.
had a few discussions about that before how they said BR but it isnt. Its in the LP and they do tours. Been meaning to go.
the craziest sh!t happened today, I went outside this morning at like 4 a.m. and it was cold as a witches tit. I just went outside and i swear it's a little warmer. Climate change is real bitches...
Okay red...time for you to explain climate vs. weather. Like I said before it's used as a double standard by the left.
