I believe in it. In december the climate changes to cold weather. in june-sept it changes to hot weather.
It has nothing to do with people on earth doing anything. If everyone sat completely still for an entire year, the climate would change at the same time.

No one is stopping private investors. The government incentives are to encourage private investors to act. Incentives in Europe are attracting US investors in green energy instead of them investing here. But The GOP supports subsidizing Big Oil instead . . . even though ExxonMobil posts the biggest corporate profits in the history of the world and needs no incentives keep profiting, taxpayers give them billions every year. Corporate welfare at its worst.

How exactly does subsidizing green energy hurt anybody in the oil patch? They are pumping like mad.

Then get on board. That is what addressing AGW is all about.

No one has EVER suggested that, it is a straw man.

The law of the jungle says that the strong survive. Successful species fight for their place in the world.

    When was I wrong?

Let me 'splain it to you once again. :rolleye33:

Please look up "weather" and "climate". they are not synonymous. No weather conditions over a small period and over a small area give any indications regarding global climate change.

And lets look at that map . . .

Can you not perceive three things?

    1. This map is global in nature . . .essential when considering a global phenomenon.

    2. This map covers shows 2010 temperature anomalies using a 30-year base period, giving relevance to the change occurring.

    3. The vast portion of the planet is warming, far exceeding those areas experiencing cooling.

The global warming issue! You are trying to create other issues and imply correlation, but that is a childishly lame way to lose an argument. It's a tired old line with you, I have demolished it on at least four occasions, and I won't be baited into another one. Find something new, if you can.

Actually you can. You are legally authorized to cherrypick any aspects of global warming or weather as long as you're on the left-leaning side of the argument. :thumb:

Otherwise...you're correct! It's illegal to use any reports/evidence/opinions/historicals/examples, etc. if you disagree with the global warming alarmists.

I'm still waiting for those man-made global warming believers to start leading by example. They sure do like their petroleum products! It's hard to support an agenda when the leaders are also the "abusers".

You have managed to use three paragraphs to contribute absolutely nothing to the discussion.

i dunno that it is either. i have not calculated the optimal temperature for the earth. i know that some areas are cool and others are hot. i dunno that one area is "better" than another.

to oppose climate change is to say that you think the earth is the perfect temp now and that change is bad. i dunno that to be true. neither does anyone. we cant really calculate such things. plants love carbon in the atmosphere, and maybe more warm area will create more fertile farmland. and maybe places that were way too cold will become nice sites for happy little towns.

a polar bear cannot live in a rain forest, that dosent make the rain forest worse.

again, you were the one that said it isnt about the earth, but the people on it. either that was a true statement or it wasnt. i agreed with you. and if we accept that the issue is about people, about the flourishing of our species, then i think me must accept that economic problems are a far larger concern, basically to the extent that warming should be ignored.
