Thank you for the cheat sheet on what to expect from the different people on this forum, I never thought a scary clown could be so helpful! Thanks again!
I thought it was a carefully crafted response to his constructive criticism and I want him to know i respect his opinion and this whole thread made me realize i need to do my best and re-do the entire article and I was even back in touch with Big Ed Ingram 4 star recruit to get more interesting questions in the interview..I genuinely feel like the fans in this forum would appreciate it. and i don't make any money directly or indirectly through my site, it's all for the love of the game...and the forums are so i can learn about the nuances of CFB culture on the ground level talking to knowledgeable fans. I'm really happy I found this place.
I plan on it! I think talking to fans like you guys is the only way I can immerse myself into a football culture i grew up 2000 miles away from. I'm from Wellesley, MA and needless to say...we don't have much college football culture back where I grew up. But now I'm in Los Angeles so maybe USC and UCLA could be fun to cover, but I'm just not as interested in the football culture here in Southern California. There's a lot of talent, but it's a strange place that lacks the feeling of community that appears to be so prevalent in the south and midwest. Plus I want to improve as a sports writer and posting the Forecast Calls for Purple Reign article was about demonstrating my interest/respect for LSU, getting constructive criticism on how to improve and since my blog i doesnt geneerate any revenue directly or indirectly, driving traffic to my site is a silly thing to spend my time doing...so i'm genuiinely interested and definetly pla on sticking around. Plus..I have thick skin, so i can take the punches this forum hands out and I look forward to chatting more with you guys
Duly noted, I was skeptical of trusting an evil clown to begin with but at the same time you don't want to make enemies with an evil clown either...i was in a catch 22
The ignore function has become more popular lately. It is the moderator you always wanted. And good call on California and its lacking qualities for community. Nobody is actually from here but because of that, you peel back enough layers and you can find what you are looking for. Become a Kings fan and you will almost certainly find more of your kind
Checked your article; good read. Clean up the typos. LSU is a special place, and if Eaux has success and wins the LSU job, it's almost stranger than fiction.
Agreed, although it's tough to build "community" among the 25 million people who reside in SoCal, and nearly 10% of those are illegals. You'll find plenty of tailgate culture at home USC games (yes, I'm biased). ucla not so much as the Rose Bowl is 27 miles away from the campus in westweird. I wasn't going to post this but for you it might be of interest. Garry P is a local sports blogger/writer/forum owner/Emmy winner for HS football coverage and knows Coach Eaux quite well. You might find some interesting comments in here. http://1045espn.com/garry-paskietz-on-afr-11-01-2016/ The hell? I'm ready to get out of Dodge but I'm born and bred in SoCal as were both my parents. Kings fans are in LA. Here behind the Orange Curtain, we like the Ducks....not the Oregon variety mind you.
