Do you remember all the people telling us how great Kathleen Blanco would be and how horrible Bobby Jindal was? Edith Bunker Blanco won the election and arguably became the worst governor in U.S. history.

Now you can't find anyone who'll admit they voted for her. I wonder if the same thing will happen with Obama.

    Your own link supports it!

"The non-partisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget calculates that Obama has promised a total of $990 billion in new spending over his first four-year term."

Also in the source you supplied:

"A very different calculation has been made by the conservative National Taxpayers Union, which has compiled a much more detailed list of the two candidates' proposed spending plans. According to NTU calculations, Obama is proposing net spending increases of around $292 billion a year, or more than $1 trillion over four years."

You're the one that is confused so let me give you an example. It's 2010, Mccain is the president and the Bush tax cuts are about to expire. Mccain wants to extend these Bush tax cuts. However, the Democratically controlled congress does not. Since the president can not cut taxes (Only congress can!) the tax cuts will not be extended. It's that simple.

Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget list of Obama spending cuts:
Implemented Unspecified Cuts to Slow Spending $50 billion
Reform Government Spending $17 billion
    Reduce Erroneous Payments $6 billion:lol:
    Cut Medicare Cost $14 billion:lol:

These are just a sample of some of the extremely vague spending cuts that Obama proposes according to your source. These cuts are as phony as the candidate that proposed them and you know it.

Here's a quote from your source that sums it up:

"The level of details for these policies-those that would save money-is far less than many of the tax cut and spending policies that would cost money. We leave it to the reader to make their own determinations about how to evaluate these number."

I wonder why the detail for policies that will supposedly save money is far less than the proposed tax cuts. This reader is not convinced.

Yes thats what you believe and thats bullcrap to me. If they are running for the same office, I will hold both of them to the same standard. Evidently you dont and thats your choice.

Stephin Baldwin wasnt kidding around, I saw the video myself and he was very serious.

I also pointed out twice already that this accounting did not take into account the corresponding spending cuts also proposed. Move on.

Now, why do you keep ignoring the fact that McCain also proposes deficit spending of a similar amount?

OK, Captain Obvious. But whatever in the world is your point?

Then prove it. I found a legitimate source and all you can do is make laughy faces? Oooh, good comeback!

    Nobody does.

Actually it has, but the questioning of ones patrotism from political hacks during an election has always been ignorable.

"“I deplore this kind of politics. I think it is dishonest and dishonorable." -- John McCain, 2004

A lot here think Obama will be terrible and many think that McCain will be terrible. It's almost laughable. How we can see things completely differently is just short of amazing and explains the history of human conflict pretty well.

I'm in the camp that McCain will be terrible, with his Emperor Palpatine sneer and contempt for all who don't agree with his worldview, but TigerForums makes me realize I need to take a deep breath and a step back. We all sound crazy.

That's kinda weak red. That's okay though. I know it must be really difficult to defend Hussein Obama on this topic. But you tried...that's the important thing.

I guess when Hussein Obama is elected president, we will be able to hear more renditions of the National Anthem like the one in the video. :rolleye33:

at this point all signs point to an obama presidency. i hope and pray that our country would move forward and be more prosperous, etc...

i hope they don't move those styrofoam columns into the oval office. that would make me crazy, moreso than the thought of madeline albright grinning maniacially on msnbc for the next 4 yrs. :)
