Minnesota? uh yeah, Brett Favre's arm appears to be falling off again in December Arizona? nearly lost to Detroit yesterday, looked god awful vs the 49ers the week before Dallas? they played their game of the year vs the Saints, watch them recede calmly into the night Philly? Really fear a guy commonly referred to as McChoke? Giants? Child, please! Green Bay? 500 yards passing to Roethlisberger, what can Brees possibly put up? That's your cast of characters. The Saints will not lose to any of these teams at the Superdome.
Arizona is the team that worries me the most because they are so damned unpredictable. Kurt Warner could come out and throw for 400 and 5 TD's, or he could come out and throw 5 picks and fumble twice. Minnesota if you load the box and take Peterson out of the game, and force them to throw the ball 40 or 45 times, i think you have a way better chance of beating them. Philly is a team that can put up points and put them up quick with Jackson, Maclin when he is healthy, and McNabb, and don't forget Vick is playing a bigger part of that offense. Dallas doesn't really bother me that much, i think the Redskins beat Dallas next Sunday night and that would jumble the playoffs to hell and back because the Pack lost this weekend to Pittsburgh in a hell of a game. Packers are also pretty unpredictable, but i think the Saints could get good pressure on Rodgers. So for me, the team i think that is the most dangerous in the NFC other than the Saints are the Arizona Cardinals.
Every potential opponent has flaws that we can exploit. Unfortunately, that applies to the Saints as well. At full strength, I like our chances against anybody in the NFC. That means getting Greer, Ellis, Shockey and Bush back at full speed. Porter and Fujita as well; both played against Dallas, but I'm not convinced either is 100%, especially Fujita. The teams that scare me most would be Arizona for their passing game and Minnesota for their pass rush.
Up until last night I thought it would be the Vikings due to their defense & pass rush but Carolina really handed it to them last night like Arizona did a few weeks ago. I think their defense is piling up a lot of injuries like ours. So I'm going with Arizona as well. They are really up & down. Even the local newspaper calls then Jekyl & Hyde but the NFC West was so easy to win that I think they relax in a lot of games and get up for the big ones like they did in last year's playoffs. When their offense is on it's almost as scary as ours especially now that Beanie Wells is starting to roll. He gives them what Thomas & Bell give us which is a real run threat to take the pressure off of their main threat which is the pass. They are the one that concerns me.
Well this post made it easy to figure out who you are on saintsreport.com  I will say Minn because of their pass rush. Offenses will score on us, getting our offense out of rythm is what will cause us to lose.
I don't know if fear is the right word, but I worry about everyone we will play from here on out (even TB and Car). Our D has looked like crap for 3 weeks now, and our run game has all but disappeared. It's starting to look a lot like the 2007 and 2008 teams. Can we beat everyone? Yes. Can we lose to anyone? Yes.
Who am I afraid of in the NFC? Thats easy, the Saints. The only way the Saints lose is if they let themselves down, as they did against Dallas. If they play to their top potential, noone will beat them.
