Who allows Gary Danielson to announce LSU games?

He went to Purdue, and shows "love" (dripping with sarcasm here) everytime he calls an SEC game.

I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one, b/c clearly we are not hearing the same coverage - you may need to change your TV from ESP to ENG:lol:

 

I agree.
Especially since he left ABC on bad terms and now has found his niche covering the SEC. He was pining for UF to make it in 06 during the SECCG. The dude is a very smart guy, can get a little excited and says stuff that tends to annoy you. He just kinda goes with the flow of the game. Whatever team isn't executing or playing well, he's not afraid to lay it on them and of course it's gonna be annoying to those fans. When we're winning, he's a genius, when we're losing he's a homer for any team other than us. Like someone said earlier, Verne is the guy that really lets his biases stand out....

You are absolutely correct. I bleed Purple and Gold but, it's way past time to get a defensive Coordinator - not multiple ones. Can't remember when LSU's defense looked this bad. I hate to see anyone loose their job but LSU needs to hire a good experienced defensive coordinator. We expected the Offense to struggle with the QB's lack of experience but certainly not the D. How much of this can we stand before it begins to effect recruting?
Unfortunately next year we still won't have the type offense that we have become use to over the past few years because we will still have these two young men (nice guys but both of which are average QBs at best) and another QB coming in who is good but has no experience. Hope I'm wrong but my take is we loose two more games this year. Ole Piss and BAma o::angryfire

 

Lundquist is a life long Dallas resident and former local sports dude. Stafford went to Highland Park (my high school too). Lundquist lives in Highland Park and knows the Stafford family well. Do the math.

 

Gary Danielson is the most knowledgeable announcer in the business. It is a shame so many fans passion for LSU football overrides their ability to appreciate the expertise of individuals who ARE NOT LSU FANS.....

LSU football is going through a down year. Live with it. If you want to complain then tell those fans who left early that they do more to damage recruiting than anything Danielson or Lundquist could possibly say.

I am afraid LSU fans need a down year, to be honest. A good 8-4 year with a Peach Bowl berth would do just the trick. Maybe then you could appreciate on what an amazing run the football program has been on....

Back to Danielson....I can't remeber any other announcers calling the play before it happens so often. CFN ran an article last week about how sharp Danielson is.

Last point: IF YOU SAY HOW POOR OF AN ANNOUNCER DANIELSON IS WHEN HE IS OBVIOUSLY ONE OF THE BEST IT ONLY HIGHLIGHTS YOUR IGNORANCE AND LACK OF OBJECTIVETY.......so stop being babies.......

hes clearly one of the best. id like to know who people think is better. most people hate all announcers because they actually think they know the game better.

lol i didnt hear that but that stuff doesnt bother me if he can call a game, which he can.

of course he had bad timing saying that UGA cant get predictable and just run moreno against our d because its too good.

first play and 2 seconds later he breaks that long run for a td. was pretty funny.
