Looking at the schedules for 2008-2009 and the 2009-2010 seasons I began to wonder a question so difficult to answer that I thought I would bring this up before ya'll. We all know that we play in the toughest conference there is...the SEC, (Cause you can't spell RESPECT without SEC). So, my question is which schedule would you rather have: 2008-2009 Home Games Miss St. Georgia Bama Ole Miss Away Games Auburn Florida South Carolina Arkansas 2009-2010 Home Games Florida Auburn Arkansas Away Games Miss St. Georgia Alabama Ole Miss -Mackey *I also notice we don't have SCar scheduled for the 2009-2010 season.
SC is not scheduled in 2009 because we already played them the past 2 seasons as one of our east alternates. Vandy takes that spot in 2009 and 2010.
Auburn and Bama will be much better in '09. Florida will be better as well, Tebow will be a senior and the D will be better than in '08. Arkansas will be a cakewalk in '08. Not sure what to expect in 09, but I would assume a better team. I'd rather play GA at home than on the road. I picked '08 as the easier schedule (nothing is easy however).
For game day experience, excitement in the stands and "supposed" home advantage, I would pick '09. For the respect for our team and the definition of dominance, I would pick '08. I picked '08 because our tailgates always rock, and drama is always in the stadium regardless of opponent. I would also like to see another first year qb kick everyone's teeth in and prove that he is a team player and the undisputed leader. And do it primarily on the road. I don't want to wait a year to see that develop. Besides, the arrogance of our rivals in defeat(Fla., USC come to mind) will be doubly sweeter if they endure defeat again next year, in their house. I want fear in their hearts at the thought of facing us twice in one year. Beating them all on the road will do just that.
Much rather have the 2009 schedule. Never underestimate the importance of having most the big games at home. We can afford to lose to UGA on the road and still be in the NC hunt. A big home crowd is the difference in the tough games
I went for next year for a selfish reason...I will be in attendance at the LSU/UF game. Barring or course drug overdoses or being hit by a train:thumb:
