Once again, California, Texas, and Florida have huge numbers. Already sitting on commitments from the top 100- USC has SIX; OSU, two; and Bama has one from Fluker. These are the numbers of Top 100 players by State. States Rivals 2009 Top 100 California 14 Texas 13 Florida 12 Ohio 6 Alabama 5 Pennsylvania 5 Louisiana 4 I expect them to add another from Louisiana, later, with Michael Ford.
They will, they just want to evaluate him when he is healthy. Georgia will probably be on there soon.
Lots of talk about PC's approach to the 2009 class. He prefers to wait for evaluation at camps but this year, ucla went after a bunch of Cali talent early and if enough stick tomorrow, they'll have a very strong class. I don't know if that means PC changed strategy as a result. 2 players who won't count in this year's bunch are Mustain and Damien Williams.
Not sure about that... what do you mean by evaluated? We do sign kids that haven't been to our camps.
That they don't rely on camp #'s and base decisions on their film studies. Sounds crazy to say but with USC signing 6 already, how much did the staff at USC really analyze- like vball said, he's trying a different approach. I realize they aren't offering them blind either but how much have they REALLY seen them play, and how much are they going with the recruiting service's eval?
Not unless Michael Ford and DJ Fluker are skipping a grade. It's says 2009 in the initial post.
Its funny... bama didn't used to rank up there like this for top 100 recruits... its amazing what some gump love can do...
This may come as a shock but top 100 recruits dont define the depth of a state. And all southern states that have lots of blacks have lots of good athletes. Its just a fact. Their exposure is determined by those around them.
