In 2005, Les Miles became LSU's 32nd head football coach. Many equated it to giving Miles the keys to a Rolls Royce or a Ferrari. Miles went on to drive this supercar to 51-15 record in his first five years. Now another supercar's keys are up for grabs. Coming off a nine win season, the keys to USC are now available. Just as they were for LSU in 2005, also coming off a nine win season. With as bad of a job as Miles has done with the LSU supercar (see posts and threads here for details), the next USC coach should easily get 11 wins per season over the next five years. Anything less than that would be, well, comparable to Miles' putrid record here at LSU. Of course I am assuming the keys to both supercars are comparable. Which set of keys do you think is best?
The LSU Supercar wins because it d oesn't matter who is at the will. Nick Saban in his infinate wisdom, poise, and concern for all things LSU, made it an auto-pilot car. He will always be the reason behind our success! Oh, praise to his name!
I voted the 2005 LSU Supercar. As many of you may recall, that supercar (and HC) won the 2007 BCS NC. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
USC, because it's almost too easy to recruit to USC and the path is easier because of conference and media attention. but LSU is a tougher gig since you have to win in a media darkroom, so to speak, and the SEC is a brutal league. USC probably has more resources too. so i think it's a better opportunity at LSU, but easier path at USC.
