With the NFL season starting Thursday, which do you like more the NFL or college? If you could have one or the other, which one would you pick?

    NFL
    -Fantasy Football
    -Brett Favre

    College
    -Rivalries
    -Band
    -Bowl Games

College football. I like the pure emotion displayed by the players and fans. Pro ball is mostly void of this. College players are generally more team players than pro players.

    College, hands down, no contest.

There's just nothing that matches the electricity, the atmosphere and the passion of the college game. People also should remember that most of the kids that play college ball will never go on to the NFL. They play the game because they love it. Pro football is just too sterile and business-like by comparison for my taste. It's all about how much guaranteed money I can get, how big my signing bonus is, how many sponsorship deals I can make. Though one can make the argument that college football is becoming as big-business as the NFL is, especially when it comes to coaches' salaries. Maybe it's because I never grew up to be a Saints fan, but for my money there just ain't nothing like a Saturday night game in Tiger Stadium.

I love them both but I am a much bigger LSU fan than I am a Saints fan. On one hand I would much rather watch New England play the Indianapolis Colts than I would say, Purdue vrs Iowa. And I would rather watch Texas-Oklahoma or USC-Ohio State than watching the Detroit Lions play Tampa Bay or Buffalo vrs the Oakland Raiders. It all depends on the matchups

For me it's college, without a doubt.

I love the different styles of offense/defense you get in college. I love the rivalries, the big plays, and so much more about college football.

I even like the BCS. It makes every game meaningful and gives fans something to talk about.

College, no doubt. You never know what to expect. You're watching 18 - 22 year olds, and teams may have a few great players, but they also have a few weak spots that can be exploited. There are more upsets, and that's a lot of fun. How about Appy St. beating Michigan, that was fun! And the kids reaction to a big win like that, you just don't see it in the pros with those rich guys, it seems like they are mostly in it for the money. They want to win, but if they don't they still get paid a lot.

forgive me for disagreeing with most here, but give me the NFL over college. College is better for everything off the field, fans, tradition, rivalries, etc, but the NFL game is so much better on the field. You have the best athletes in the world facing off against each other. Plus, you have a real playoff where the best team proves it on the field. Every year, every team has a chance to win the championship, which is not the case in college. Plus, you don't have the cupcake out of conference schedules that many teams play (well, unless you count the Raiders). But mostly, I would rather sit down and watch two random NFL teams play on a sunday afternoon than two random NCAA teams play on saturday.

i gotta go college, i have no loyalty to any NFL team, well, i didn't until someone created fantasy football, which has revived the NoFunLeague in my opinion. LSU is in my blood, and has been for generations.

There was nothing like when my grandpa used to take me to LSU games when i was a kid, he would set up a big pot to cook a gumbo, drinking his scotch with a hint of water, my uncle would take over the gumbo and he would take me wandering all over campus talking to everyone, and sampling food, meeting new people, who seemed like distant relatives to me at the time, but were actually complete strangers. Good Times.

College football. Pro Football puts me to sleep. College football keeps me up all night. Is Brett Farve gonna retire or is he coming back. I don't care,
I quit going to my old barber because he kept talking about pro football, even after I told him to STFU.
