I myself sat in the SW End Zone. I had the pleasure of listening to a few of our "fans" providing lots of great football insight. I had Urban Meyer sitting to my immediate right, with Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells sitting a couple rows up. These guys were football experts, every suggestion they made really struck me as a good call. They had a problem with EVERY SINGLE PLAY CALL and had to demonstrate so loudly their displeasure with them. It makes me wonder why we don't just look to the stands for our coaching staff, LSU is so foolish for not just hiring one of the 80,000 goofballs we have in the stands every Saturday.

It's always great to watch a game with those with such knowledge of the game.

Notable insight from these supposed "fans":

Football Genius 1- Miles is a "Punk ass bitch"....As in, Arkansas scoring with 1:09 was just "them helping us in getting that PAB out of here"

Football Genius 2- Miles is a dummy for not playing Ridley all season but, "since he's not a senior Miles won't use him." (yeah, the knee surgery and the three returning letterman had nothing to do with that, good call buddy)

Football Genius 3- (to Kelvin Sheppard, as he's returning the squib kick with a minute left) "GET OUT OF BOUNDS!!!!!!!!!!" (apparently unaware that the clock is moot on a change of possession, and a player can be tackled wherever the hell he wants on these plays)

There were some more gems, but these were the highlights. Let me tell you, if you have the chance to sit near some of these guys, cherish it. It really opens up the X's and O's of the game. Without these experts second-guessing every play call, we'd never win a game.

Really makes me proud to say I'm a Tiger fan with such a knowledgeable fan base.

    There's one in every section.

The guy sitting behind us ranted the whole game. He argued every play-call. "Crowton's an idiot." "Chavis is terrible." "What are we doing?"

    Every play. The whole game.

I was forced to listen to the fourth quarter (and OT) on the radio again this week and Jim Hawthorne said the exact same thing.

I went to the game with my close friend and Arkansas alum. We had our kids with us. In the bathroom one of our finest got in the face of a 7 year old boy after Holiday's punt return and said "Go back to Fayetteville you piece of S*^$"

Needless to say my friend who is 6-7 and a former OL in college wasnt to happy.
I told him dont hold 92k of us responsible for 1, as every fan base has them. But it did put a damper on what was a great day of tailgating and fun.

Why someone would jump in the face of a 7 year old and say something like that because he was wearing an arkansas jersey is beyond me.

From then on I took him to the bathroom with me and I carried him in my arms (Of course I was decked out in LSU gear) no issues from then on.

But kind of ruined his first experience in Tiger Stadium. People tend to get a bit testy when you scream in the face of their kids.

This was your friend's son that someone called a POS??? And the person who did this still has their teeth?

Anyone yells anything in my kid's face in any sort of vicious manner and there will be a situation.

Yup my Razorback buddy's 7 year old son, in the bathroom I sat in the visitors section with him my wife, daughter and his wife and son, house divided thing. We were in there as Holiday was returning his punt and everyone was jumping up and down for obvious reasons and I heard it myself.
I tried to find out who it was so I could confront them but I was in midstream in a stall and as we all know you cannot break off. Not to fight but explain why crap like that is uncalled for and the REASON other fans constantly bash us.

Yes he was very mad and already had a notion about "LSU fans" from what he has heard. The tailgate was great and he met MANY very nice LSU fans and his son had a hoot riding his bike around the RV lot with an Arkansas flag on his bike. His bike broke one time and an LSU fan fixed it for him then said "TigerBait" he got a big kick out of that.

But yeh I was very embarrassed and he wanted to leave, I talked him down as he was saying "You dont say that to a 7 year old thats my son, etc" but yeh it was very uncool. It kind of made him forget about all the GOOD LSU fans he met. We were driving back and he mentioned it a few times to his fellow razorback fans. Sadly one incident has created this image of us. Probably not accurate to label us all but it happened. I was so proud to bring them to Tiger Stadium and was disappointed myself.

The only good news is his son is a resilient kid and honestly I don't even think he knew what happened. His boy had a blast at the tailgate Friday and Saturday and it was the only incident besides a few Tiger baits which he loved anyway as he was say Go Hogs back....

Note : I will say it was redemption to watch him FINALLY put up an LSU flag on his house tonight. Pictures pending.
I am sure some of you remember our bet and the misery I had last year.

That's a bunch of crap, it's ashame people act like that to anyone... but to a child, there's no excuse period. Your friend should've gutted the prick right there and started eating his entrails as he walked out of the bathroom. I do applaud him though for not stooping down to his level, I wouldn't have had same the restraint personally. Hopefully he understands that win or lose, most of us are ordinary people who love LSU, but still respect the other SEC fans... well minus the gumps. LOL.
On a similiar note of this thread, anyone watching the game last night notice the camera panning the stadium, and being able to read the lips of the LSU fans... some pretty colorful language was caught on national tv.

I work the student section. Find a coach that says MF every other word and that is who is my expert.

TexasTigers...I feel for you and that situation. As a marshal I jump in when I see our fans treating others rudely. In your situation I'm afraid I would have been fired. No excuse for the POS Tiger fan to say something like that. I'd have clocked him myself.

I sit next to a fellow season ticket holder. He's a pretty nice guy, however, he is one of the most negative fans around. You would swear LSU does NOTHING right if you listen to him. Its almost as if he can't enjoy seeing LSU do well, he'd prefer to be able to b#tch the whole game. He played highschool football and knows the game pretty well but he hammers the coaches at EVERY turn. He's an unhappy camper for just about EVERY game.

About everyone I was around was drunk or not too keen on the game of football. So, there were many outbursts directed at Miles' "Sorry a$$" or "What is he doing?!" I thought it would stop once we won, and I was correct:grin:
