I heard an interesting stat on Colon Cowturd the other day. For the last 15 years, there have been at least 5 NFL playoff teams that failed to make it back the following year. Which 5 will it be this year? AFC Division Champs: PITT NE IND KC Wild Card: BAL NYJ NFC Division Champs: ATL SEA CHI PHI Wild Card: GB NO The first 3 are kind of easy (SEA, KC, CHI), but then it sort of gets tough. I'm gonna go against the grain a little and say IND because they haven't really done alot in FA and Manning has a neck injury that could linger. For the last pick, I'm going to say ATL, mainly because I believe the Saints will win the South; which will leave them battling for a wild card spot. Plus they've lost Jerious Norwood, who was a solid backup for Turner, and Michael Jenkins. Yeah, they got Julio and he'll be good eventually, but I'm not sure how much impact he'll have in his rookie year.
I say Indy. Hasselbeck in TN & a good Houston Texans team will blow up Indy's spot this year. Mark it down, homie. Also, fanatic u r snorting draino if u think that Atlanta ain't gonna make the playoffs. They are gonna be nasty this year, bruh. Losing Norwood won't break them...they have Turner, Snelling, Quiz and a stable of rb's. Matty Ice is going to have a field day with Julio, Roddy & Gonzales. They will be really really good. (grab Julio in your fantasy draft....trust me).
If I was snortin' anything, it wouldn't be draino. Maybe my anti-ATL bias is kicking in, but I think you're selling the Saints short. Do you think ATL or NO will win the South? If you're picking NO, then ATL will be in a dog fight for a wild card spot. If that happens, then all bets are off. If you're picking ATL to win the south, then eff you.
I think that the Saints will, in fact, with the NFC South.....but I certainly don't count the Falcons out of it. That being said, I think that if ATL ends up being a wild card contender, they will be the best of the bunch. Truth is, Atlanta could be playing for a Super Bowl this year. I hate those MF'ers with a passion, but I know a good football team when I see one.
Playoffs: Green Bay Arizona New Orleans Philly Dallas (wildcard) Tampa Bay (wildcard) Baltimore New York Jets San Diego Chargers Indianapolis Colts Kansas City (wildcard) Houston Texans (wildcard)
Very interesting stat but I'll say this year there will only be four. KC and IND in the AFC. SEA and CHI in the NFC. I don't know much about Detroit's team overall but the Stafford/Calvin Johnson and Suh/Fairley duos sound like potential playoff material. They would have to steal a spot from a good team so maybe still a year away.
