All I'm gonna say is that this is the first Auburn game in recent memory where the sphincter factor was almost a negative number. Usually, LSU/Auburn games are close, hard fought, and sometimes decided in the last second. I like this a lot better. Perhaps Auburn IS a horrible team this year - at least our Tigers made 'em look like an awful team and the outcome was NEVER in doubt. :geaux::milesmic::geaux::milesmic::geaux::milesmic:
Nope Great Day....they wouldnt be calling me that cause Im not and do not think the sky is falling after ever close or bad game...and WHEN your not so.......wet behind the ears..here you might understand alittle bit of what I am talking about!
Agree with Red - I think it looks far more likely that we can have a 10-2 season than it did 3 games ago. The defense will probably keep us in EVERY game. And the offense seems to be making strides every week, and that bodes well, obviously. I'm still not drinking the JJ kool-aid. He's doing great for a true sophomore. And his numbers were better. I spent some time looking at each of his throws - he still has below average timing (lots of receivers waiting on footballs) and his accuracy isn't great. But he showed flashes of what he COULD be (first TD pass to Tolliver). And he's a better than average runner for a big guy. Here's the final thing LSU needs: a credible deep threat. JJ still hasn't proven he can punish average secondaries. So they are going to continue to stuff the run. When you consider how good the LSU receivers are (including Scott, Williams and Dickson), it's a bit eye-popping that teams are still putting 8 in the box on a routine basis. So, if JJ fixes his timing/accuracy issues and starts giving Lafell/Tolliver/Randle a chance to burn defenses, the end of the season could be rockin'!
To answer the OP question, they're saving it all up for the Bama game. Then you will see a s***-storm the likes of which this forum has never known if LSU loses.
How dare you! Everyone knows Saban's players become all his the second he takes over a program. Where have you been?
I suppose I have a reputation as a NEGATIVE NANCY. (BTW, all caps just means you couldn't come up with a decent term to spell in normal letters.) So here's my response. LSU looked okay vs. Auburn, who is a bad team right now. Both sides of the ball looked much improved for the purple and gold, and I'm confident LSU will end up with more wins than they had last year. On the other hand, LSU had no rushing attack except for Shepard's big play. It's crazy that they couldn't pound away with Scott in the second half. I can't imagine Jefferson will have such wide-open receivers against Bama and Ole Miss, so the Tigers are going to have to find another way to win those two games. The defense stepped up nicely. I liked the pass rush a lot. They tackle as well as any Tiger team in the Miles era. My sense is that the Tigers could win or lose all their remaining SEC games. Jefferson has a lot more to learn, and the running game needs to get an attitude. Nevertheless, I like where they sit now. And the future looks bright.
