How about one from each of the Power 5: ACC - Miami (South Beach) Big 10 - Rutgers (close to NYC) Big 12 - Texas (better than any other B12 campus) Pac 12 - USC (LA) SEC - Alabama (did you see that sorority video!! http://coed.com/2015/08/10/watch-university-of-alabama-alpha-phis-recruitment-video/)
That's a more complicated question than it sounds. There is no QBU. Out of 28 NFL teams that have either named starters or that I know who is in the QB battle only USC and NC State have more than one. Or maybe USC has 1. Or none, depending on whether Oklahoma's Sam Bradford is healthy enough to beat out Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley for the Eagles job. And whether Carson Palmer is healthy at all with the Cardinals. And whether you count Russell Wilson as an NC State alum or a Wisconsin alum. There are starting NFL quarterbacks from Delaware, Miami of Ohio, Wisconsin-Green Bay and Nevada. The closest current head coach to a QB guru is Duke's David Cutcliffe who was Peyton Manning's OC at Tennessee and Eli Manning's head coach at Ole Miss. Peyton would have been great if his OC had been Moe, Larry and Curley. It's a crapshoot. What do you want as a QB recruit? You want a great O Line to protect you. You want great receivers. You want good running backs to take the pressure off the passing game. Unless you're a dual threat guy you want a team that runs a pro style offense. And you want an offensive coordinator who can teach you everything you need to know and prepare you for the next level. LSU usually has the O Line, the RB's and the receivers. LSU runs a pro style offense. While Cam Cameron has never developed a QB from freshman to NFL ready he was a great influence on Zach Mettenberger's growth as a quarterback. You are never going to throw 40 or 50 times a game at LSU. If that's what you want go play for Mike Leach at Washington State. But Leach is no quarterback guru. Leach is a system guru. How many passes have his former QB's thrown on Sundays lately. ZERO! With all that in consideration if you love everything else about LSU you won't do any better by going elsewhere. Lane Kiffin at Alabama you say. How much longer do you think he is going to stay in gumpland?
Good write-up BB. LSU won 13 games with two avg QB's in 2011. They had a bunch of talent on both sides of the ball, along with great Special Teams play.
Neither did Wellesley College back in the day but that didn't stop Hillary Clinton from claiming to have been the captain of the women's soccer team. I never heard of Mo Isom but it's a cool sounding name.
Hawaii - no place more beautiful. Miami - wine women and song. San Diego St. - Another day at the beach Florida St. - Slut capital of the world Alabama - So I could tell the midget to kiss my ass!
